Default Be careful of cheap slippers!!!

Recieved an email from my college today. Apparently this email was sent to her by her best friend.

Please be aware of china product.. (now it has includes clothings other then the news reported about food)

    Now Is China Slippers ..........

Chinese Thongs sandals sold at Walmart!!!.DO NOT BUY !!

REMEMBER THE PAINT ON KIDS TOYS ?

    Hi,
This is very true as I heard it in news from one of our local radios here that our govt has to be extra careful on these cheap imports from china. These includes clothes, food, toys, slippers and even glasses because they are using some strong but cheap chemical in their manufactures. Cheap is becoming expensive and at the same time fatal. I nearly bought one pair of the slippers below for myself last week at the Japanese $2 shop at IMM last week.

Dear all, I'm not sure if DAISO's slipper will cause this problem or not, BUT!! Please do be careful from now on..

Felt pity to this girl. ****.

    How come Daiso?

The email I got stated that the slippers were bought from Walmart. And I got this email like many many months ago, way before the fisher price toys & milk recall.

Anyway, the thread title makes it sound like these slippers were bought from there. Kinda misleading, eh?

thats really scarey! how did she end up like this?!

anyway, speaking of china products - im ACTUALLY very skeptical of products made in china. But apparently, it is truely impossible to avoid buying stuffs NOT made in china. I just got 2 pairs of flip flops from Old Navy and found out its made in china (from the sticker that sticks on the flip flops & also one of the top i got is also made in China). If im not wrong, Giodano clothings are made from china too (correct me if im wrong). So, practically, to me, its impossible to avoid!

sorry if I've let u think or makes u think it's definately daiso products, But I'm just saying (be careful of slippers sold in daiso.) Of cuz, that's because their slippers are very cheap. And I do not know if anyone has added more "details"into the email, but this is the original mail I recieved stated that someone actually wanna buy it from daiso b4 she saw this email.. So it depends on how u wanna believe it. But of course also, doesn't mean other area that sells cheap slippers, we don't have to be aware of the causes. *No offense*

And... I did stated that I am not sure if daiso's slipper will cause this problem or not eh? And daiso has been very popular among many people.. so I guess this might catch their attention in reading it. My main purpose is to inform all to be careful whenever u plan to buy anything that's produce by china.. *since china products has been giving the news so much problem...*

the most ultimate one i encountered personally is this auntie (speaks very good english) who asked the sales person of this IT accessories shop...
she holding a mouse (with some colorful prints), and ask, "is this made in china?"
    the SA said Yes.
then she ask "does this contain poisonous paint? oh, i better not buy this"

i heard that and my eyes nearly popped out
