i don't know if it's just me.. but i usually only manage to wear my shoes for about 3-4 months (and not that i wear them everyday!).
the insoles are always dirtied and the sides of the shoes (eg.pumps) will start expanding and widening out. and the heels' rubber thingy will always drop off.
and i have this pair that i really liked from urs, the surface got a little dirty as i havemn't worn it in a while, i tried to clean it but the surface started falling off like pieces of wet paper. ughhhh!
end up always have to buy new shoes.. then my bf will complain.![]()
Dear cotters, I need help! My grey suede pair of heels got stained by black car oil.
Can I still salvage it? There's an ugly blotch now.
Can those cobblers such as Mister Mint etc clean up the mess? I heard there's something like a suede cleaner. I really love this pair! Pls help!![]()
My beloved exodus shoes were soiled, stretched and torn at the cloth soles too. It's also pretty gross when the loose cloth sticks to my soles whenever I want to remove my shoes.
I went to Mirrco at Bylands Building in Middle Rd to get them fixed. The uncle did a pretty good job of tightening the loose cloth sole and then glued on a thin layer of PVC material above it. Now the shoes work perfectly again. Cost me $10 there. Another cobbler suggested adding a layer of leather sole which is thicker than cheap PVC, but I didn't want that because my shoes would become too tight if the add on was too thick.
is there anyway to expand a shoe? mine is heels with canvas material.
