Heels caught in grooves!!

dear all

I was wondering if you are facing these problems as well or is it JUST me with a problem!

I realised that I have my heels caught in pavement all the time, usually those of bricks or stones nature or those with groove lines and when i manage to free my heel from being stuck, the rubber base from my heel is stucked inside the groove!!!

And i need to send most of my heels in to those nice cobbler uncles at chinatown very very often! If i do not replace the rubber base, i will have a tendency to slip and fall and feel damn 'unglam'...

it's really frustrating and BO always ask me to get heels that are more bulky but i just dont like them..

DO YOU HAVE THIS PROBLEM TOO????

Yes. I have this problem too.. Its frustrating.. after changing the heels, less than 2 days, the heels get stuck again!

I hate drain covers, period

And getting the heel and hence, the self stuck is so not glam too, which is why i'll try my best to tiptoe over or avoid altogether

wow.. so i am not the only ONE!!

did you ever get caught & couldnt remove your heel at all??? what did you do?

I was caught once & couldnt remove! SO unglam!!!!

I had to bent down & forced it out & my heel is badly scratched & damaged! it was like the 3rd time i was wearing them!

Also when it is so stuck.. you'll trip & fall forward!!

Any help anyone???

i get this all the time, esp those concrete tiles with gaps in the carpark, super hate it. Bf always say i can't walk properly, but he don't understand !!!

My skinny heel get caught in the tiny gap between 2 tiles too.

So now, i make sure i stepped on the tiles (solid part), not the gaps.
So difficult to be woman.

i always have this problem.. i think 4 pairs of my shoes have been caught already

yes it's soooo annoying how they make allll these glam beautiful shoes for us, and then on our way to work or home, those precious heels get stuck in between the groooves !!!

my stilettos got stuck once, and when i tried to yank it out, it broke !!!!!!

but anyways, like what gwennie said, i do try to tip toe ... and since then, i've not bought like those very high heels already - cos it's hard to tip toe in them ....

I always tip top across or walk 1 big round.. I will scold my SO also, if he park or make me walk where there are such 'trappings'..

Once my male colleague bent down and yanked out my shoe for me when it got stuck.
It was sweet of him, but I felt a little red-faced though.

this happens to me as well. have even get stuck in the rubber gaps. it's like the force inserted onto the rubber and its gets suck. (don't know how to expain). i will just step aside and wait for my bf to force out the heel.
worse is the pavement at my estate is make of those red brick, meant for fire engine access. so rough and so many gaps, always spoil my heels! i'm thinking if we can write in to the council and complain. it's only my place that are made of those walkway.

mine got stuck once that it couldn't come out.. had to use my hand.. so embaressing.. lucky no one was looking..

Yah. i try to tip toe when stepping on those payments with gaps..

but it's like quite hard to tip toe in very high heels ain't it ... ??

if come a situation you're in your highest heels, and get stuck ... my goodness, i don't even want to think about it ....

Haha, this reminds me of the time my heels got caught in between the rubber groove just as I was stepping into the MRT train. Tried hard to yank it up with my foot, but the shoe was stuck too deep in and didn't budge. In the end, I had to hop on one leg and yank out the shoe by hand, while trying desperately not to get caught in between the doors. So many commuters staring at me ... Sooooo embarrassing!

Wow.. there we have it..

we wear glamourous & beautiful shoes but we are so unglam when we are stuck. I thought i was the ONLY one & so I am not!

I hate long long long walkways in RED bricks!!! & am alright with drain covers as I can walk around them...

sometimes i get so stuck my shoe strap just snapped instead of the heels got broken.. its always a heart-breaking episode whenever it happens...

Heels! love them hate them!
