Silly me! I bookmark gobuyeurope and realised it's the same! That's the same place. But i heard sometimes you have to wait rather long but a few ladies said they recieved it within weeks. So it depends on your luck!

If "rather long" is 4-6 weeks, for surface shipping, that's ok with me! Especially given that the local Birkies outlets don't carry the model I want.

thats about 1.25 months pro! But surface shipping takes ages! I had a package reach me 2 months after the ship date! Totally forogt about it!

I checked the shipping rates, and it seems that 10-14 day airmail will cost about S$18 a pair, even if we get like 20-30 pairs. Unless I made a mistake in my calculations. :huh:

Quite steep, IMO. If you just want a pair of Madrids, you only save like S$6 by buying online.

I went ahead and bid for the pair of birkis on Ebay last week and the guy shipped it off 22 Sept, it arrived today! Paid surface shipping rates. Can't believe it came so early! Really happy!

wore 37 for mine though my usual shoe size is 5.

guess it depends on the design & your comfort level. best is to go down to one of the local stores to try out your sizes first.

Paid USD9.90 for surface shipping. The seller said German Post adds a lot of "letters" in airplanes. I got lucky I guess.

If it's gress-versand-de, on eBay, the designs look quite limited. I wanted Papilio Floridas in New Sunday Cream or Waikiki Polar, and Madrids in Gold-Brown, but they didn't have any of them.

Drop the seller on Ebay an email and ask if he has the model you're after? His name is Michael. He sent a catalogue of Birks together with the pair I bought which also included the Papillo range.
