    Default Grandeur Nail

Just want to ask if anyone did their manicure/pedicure/nails extention over at Grandeur Nail @Raffles Place ? Just wanna to share a good nail place which is very cheap for nails extention/manicure/pedicure.

8 months ago, I went for ala-carte nail extention which cost $80. After which the SA who did my nails persuaded me to take up their nails extention package. After doing a simple calculation, each session cost about $50!!! Dirt cheap for gel extention! Market rate at other places cost at least $90 per session?

The SA who did my nails gave good service. They are not calculative (some places charge $2 for top coat/quick dry etc) liked she apply extra top coat for me even though i did my nail extention 3 weeks ago. Every time when i told her im in rush for time, she will make it very fast and make sure the results is very good. Even if i tell her to 'Ching-Chye' do, she also refuse to 'ching-chye ching chye' do my nails.

The only cons i dont really like is that the place is quite small and very cramp. They have lots of customers and usually if i try to book a slot at the last minute (1 day in advance), i usually cant get a slot. They only have 2 outlets in SG and both are located in Raffles area, nowhere near East or Orchard which i frequent.

Ytd I signed up for another package (3 sessions) - Acrylic Extention. & each session is about $41!!! I like their packages because the upfront payment is quite small even if 1 day they close down, I wont feel so heart-pain.

BUT they can get alil pushy when come to selling packages. But thank god their services is quite good. That's why im willing to spend at their nail saloon.

I had a package with them and has been patronising them for 3 years now.
I must say their prices are attractive, which is the reason why i sign up with them. I took up 2 package till date.
But recently, with their booming business, I feel that their service is going downhill. Firstly, I need to call many many times in order to get through the phone and appointments has to be made way in advance (3 weeks!). Sometimes when it finally got through, the person on the phone will ask me to call back later to make appointment! I don't remember having this problem in the past.
And their service has been deteriorating, alot of colour running out and the hygiene of the place is quite poor. I think due to the crowd they can't clean up the mess after each customer so I always see the floor full of dead skins laying around. There's once they used a slightly wet towel for my feet, was it used by the previous customer? Don't tell me they run out of clean towels? Sigh.
I recommended quite a few friends there and all sign a package but recently they have been telling me about the poor service. I thought i was the only one who felt this way. Anyway, I'll try to finish up my package and I have found another better place for my regular manicure.
Another thing is I felt most of the manicurist are not pro enough in their acrylic/gel extension. If I'm not wrong, only 1 manicurist can do it and her skills are also not up to standard. I remember doing a acrylic 3D nail art for a friend's wedding and it turn out really bad. Their supposedly "swaroski" crystal are fake, I know becuase I've used real ones before and theirs is defintely not shiny at all. When I ask for lace or pearl or bead, they don't have most of it, the nail art stuff are so limited!Definitely not worth the money and alot of my fiends commented that its not too well done
But to be fair I must say that their pedicure is good, they are thorough with the scrubbing and cuticle trimming. Esp their callus treatment, it works well on thick dead skin on the bottom of my foot.
I think going there for the regular mani/pedi maintanence is alright but acrylic and gel service, esp nail arts are not recommended. Just my humble opinion here, maybe other babes who have tried can share their review?

I never have problem with them with booking for appts but i do agree that if I try to make a last-min appt, I always not able to get a slot. But usually i book 1 week in advance, & so far i havent encounter any peoblem.I need not to call them many times and if the slots are all full, they will put me on waiting list and they did really call me back when there is an available slot!

Their nail place is pretty pack with people all the time even on weekends, I guess because their prices is considered very cheap. Gel extention cost only $250 (3 extentions, 3 removal & 3 in-filles). the extention & in-fills includes removal of cuticle and choosing of glitter/french/2 different types of glitter. That's the reason why i signed up! I remember i paid $200 EACH SESSION for gel extention at Nail Palace and this does not include removal of cuticle & perhaps only strictly 1-type of glitter.

I always look for Kelly to do my extention. She was the person who signed me up for my 1st package. She is patient, skilled and easy-going. Because I always take a long time to choose the colour of glitter and always can not make up my mind, she WILL NOT show me 'black-face'!!!. Her service is good and quite helpful! Im a person very very fussy with service rendered from service staff and so far I have no issues with Kelly. Maybe my expectation of 'end-results' is not very important, as long it's within my acceptable 'range', im ok with it. Actually the 'end-results' from Grandeur nails is still much better compared to Nail Palace.

Ya i agree with you that the hygiene standard is compromised perhaps due to their super 'high traffic flow'. I reckon it a big mistake their boss has made to lay carpet flooring instead of usual wood/marble/tiles flooring. The carpet always looks very dirty and full of dead skin. Thats why i always refuse & never take off my shoes and place on the shoe rack near the entrance!! Yucks!

Recently I recommended my friend to try grandeur nails (because of cheap packages/good service rendered from Kelly/good location). But due to festive season, their slots are all taken up!!! My friend told me to tell them that she want to sign package so that they sure will squeeze/released a slot for my friend (WHO DOESNT WANT TO EARN COMMISSION FROM SELLING A PACKAGE?). But they NEVER do that! So surprised! I respect them for it!
