i have weak and brittle nails, and i can never keep them long coz they will break very easily. is there any tried-and-tested product out there that can really strengthen nails?![]()
After I removed my extensions, my nails was really weak, thin and peeling. Then, my manicurist recomended me to use Nail Tek II therapy... it really worked for me. Nails grew stronger, thicker and don't break so easily. Takes some time for results to show though. I think I finished up 2 bottles with daily applications before my nails recover.
where can i get the Nail Tek II therapy? thanks!

I use this for my peeling nails and it works - Qtica Nail Natural Nail Growth Stimulator.
I would recommend you going to www.knoxgel.com and seeing what the folks at Knox Geletin have for strengthening nails.
Knox Geletin has long been used to strengthen nails.
I used to have brittle nails that split between the layers on the nail when I just started work in office. That happened despite the fact that I was never wearing nail polish or doing anything funky on my nails. I think it was because I just starting staying long hours in air=conditioning room. I was very annoyed with it because I was trying to grow out my nails to look more "mature and sophisticated" by putting nail polish.
In the end, I bought Clarins' hand/nail treatment cream. I used it as often as I can in the office and it really helps! You need to remember to massage the cream into your nail areas as well. Many people just spread the cream on the hand skin and ignore the nails.
Seriously, just chuck all these chemical polishes and treatments away. Brittle nails are usually owing to supplement deficiency. Just pick up collagen supplements/tablets. By the 3rd month I was on them, my nails started growing really quickly and I've not touched my nail strengthener or fast growth nail polishes since then (they're still rotting in my drawers untouched 2 years later till today).
Any brand will do so long as they're fish/marine collagen. I'm not a fan of collagen drinks (as they contain too much artificial sugar). I've taken Greenlife Collagen Supplements but switched to DHC ones as it's so much cheaper and probably slightly more effective too at 1750mg/day. Just supplement with Vitamin C daily so that helps. You'll probably find your hair growing longer faster too.
I stopped taking collagen supplements for about 2 months recently and my nails started becoming brittle and chipping easily. So this really works for me, at least.
