I don't know where to post this so I'll just post it here.
I've always been a faithful customer of Enamour. Most of you should know that the shop sells a lot of nail supplies. They have two outlets - one at Far East and the other one at Bugis Street. The staff there are known to hard sell and are very pushy. The only reason on why I go there is because they have quite a number of good nail polishes.
I seldom go to the Bugis one. I think the last time I went there was nearly six months ago. This afternoon, I was there after school to look for two O.P.I colours - Light My Sapphire and Got A Date To-Knight. The staff there was still the same and for some strange reason, they remembered me.
The colours I wanted was out of stock but it was okay. I decided to choose another colour or two. Then, one of them asked if I was pregnant. Shocked, I said no. She then said that I appeared significantly fatter. I was so furious that I stormed out of the shop.
Is this how salespeople should treat their customers? Is it their business if one is pregnant or not? Maybe all of you will not take it seriously, but I have been diagnosed with anorexia for over a year and this came as a blow to me. I am currently reaching my goal to achieve a healthy body weight but she just had to come and make me go into a relapse.
Sorry if I sound as though I'm treating this forum as a diary, but this is my first time complaining on an online community so please excuse me.

In a nutshell, just ignore this shop. I used to frequent there ever so often because I was lazy to get my supplies online since waiting is always a pain. Now I know that patience is indeed a ******* virtue.

hi, i used to go there too. like what u say they r not so nice. well dont take it too hard ok. take care!
Hi sweetie, I signed up with this forum cos I want to say this. IGNORE THESE BRAINLESS GRACELESS IDIOTS at Enamour.
I was looking for the address of the shop Enamour when I came across your post. From other posts, I discovered that Enamour is INFAMOUS for lousy ah-lian hardsell service. I dunno where the owner finds these salegirls but by golly, they appear to be made from the same rude, graceless, I-m-lowly-educated-n-I-dun-care-how-I-behave mold.
Having a good body image is an important thing. Asia is particularly hard on a woman's self image since the desired image is stick thin. I lived in Latin America for 2 years... latin women must be the most vain & beauty conscious creatures on earth! Latin women want CURVES, in particular everyone wants a big gorgeous bouncy butt. Because the men there GO WILD FOR A CURVY BODY. J-Lo's famous butt is only slightly above normal there^_^ So remember that curvy is beautiful, girlfren!!!
Btw do you remember the price of Nfu Oh and OPI nail polishes at Enamour? I won't bother stepping into this horrid place if there is no justification for it.
Love yourself, you are always beautiful sweetie. Peace out.
Its true that they really hard sell all their products. I always go there to get my eyelashes and glue only. But they will keep pushing alot of other products to me. Last few weeks i was there and one of their salesgirl keep on asking me to get their best selling bb cream. I have tried so many brands of bb cream and some are not suitable for my skin and i will get lots of breakouts. But she keep insisting that i will not get cause this bb cream is their best seller and it costs around $43 plus for one bottle. In the end i still refused to buy from her and i paid for my stuff and quickly walked out.
I detest hardsell salespeople. For example when clothing shop assistants sprout inanities like "its the latest season!" I will think to myself can't you see from my dressing that I am a classic person and introducing newest trends to me is just going to leave me unmoved?? Maybe slightly insulted. Plus it makes me think the salesperson has nothing useful to say.
I am glad you walked out w/o buying. Never give in to intimidation tactics, which is essentially what hardsell is.
Hmm, haven't checked this thread in a bit.
magnum: Thanks for the concern!I'm feeling way better already.
nnuannua: I understand that having a good body image is important. However, I prefer a thin figure than a curved one but I have nothing against curvy bodies, too! I think they're beautiful.By the way, Enamour sells Nfu at $13 or $14 and O.P.I at $18.
Trinnysg: They bloody hardsell like crazy. I know who is the boss of Enamour. When I last saw her she was pregnant. Not sure if she still has short hair now. She told me she used to work in a nail salon and forced me to get a whole gel extension set complete with the UV lamp and all.I don't even have the time to use it.
hmm not sure if its the same shop, but i know at far east, my fren and i came across this shop selling alot of nail polishes, particularly OPI at quite a cheap price, ard $11 per bottle if u buy 3 or 4 can't remb correctly.
its kinda like online pricing, so we went in wanting to find, no spain no gain - opi polish.
i have been using opi polishes for many yrs, and my collection is around 20-30 bottles, so i know some of the colors and the packaging. i was appalled to see, for e.g. bogata blackberry, not in the shade of reddish tone but in some other color ! den i looked hard at the sticker at the bottom - it doesn't look like the typical prints on the bottle. very fishy..! feels like fake OPI polishes to me, i'm not sure if there are such fakes ard, but just be careful girls!
sassification: I think you're referring to a shop near the escalator (not the main one), right? I think that shop sells fake O.P.I.
hardsell is their forte and I hate to go into their shops, their products are overpriced.
btw, girls pls buy authentic OPI nail polishes from reputable sellers as in the China market, there are many fake OPI nail polishes which I saw while holiday in Shanghai...
hmm which shop is that? I always go to this shop on the 4th floor to buy false lashes. They sell OPI polishes also. Near the escalator. But don't think it's the same shop right?
There's fake O.P.I called B.O (HAHAHA). One of the hair extension/nail salons at FEP use this brand.
U ladies give such good advice! I feel pre-warned and pre-armoured before venturing to FEP, thanks lots![]()
Oh take care dear
Agreed!
The people there are damn hardsell and they behave damn HL.
Had a bad experience at the Bugis branch and had never stepped mthe store anymore.
Went to try my luck at the FEP branch. My SO and I went in tgth. However, the sales girls were unaware that he is my SO.
While I was looking at the nail polishes, they were standing in front of my bf, nudging at each other to push pdts to me.
In the end I bought 2 OPI polishes and 1 glitter polish.
Am suspecting that the OPI polishes are fakes cause they are diluted and the brushes are harder.
Be it the FEP branch or the bugis branch, they always hardsell their stuffs! Alot of time I don't think they even know what they promotiong to their customers.
There was once I was looking for lower fake eyelashes and this girl came to me promotions all sorts of eyelashes and insisting that they are for the lower lash, but in actual fact they're not!
And sometimes I go there to get my eyelash glue, they will keep hardselling all kinds of other stuffs for me to buy, and if I don't, they will give a black face.
Thank god I changed my eyelash glue and don't have to go their shop anymore.![]()
