I'm just waiting for my cousin to bring over to Singapore for me when she's back. save on shipping fee. hehe..
I got mine nfu oh and will be ordering more! holographic this time. hehe..
chunky glittery nails are pretty but removing them is a pain! anyone has effective ways to remove them properly? I always spend a long time rubbing acetone on my nails to get rid of them.sometimes end up scratching own nailbed![]()
I went to a home salon at Punggol before and the manicurist taught me a trick to removing glitters.
1) Cut a regular piece of cotton pad into 4 squares (or in halves if you have a larger/longer nail)
2) Cut out rectangular pieces of aluminium foil in sizes which can be wrapped around your finger (no need to be too big, as long as it can cover the nails)
3) Soak the small pieces of cotton pad with nail polish remover
4) Place a piece of the above mentioned cotton pad over a nail
5) Use the aluminium foil pieces to wrap the nail along with the cotton pad --> upon doing this, you will only see the aluminium foil wrapped round your finger tip; the cotton pad should be well tucked inside
6) Repeat this for the rest of your fingers.
7) Optional: you can wait for a few minutes before proceeding to the next step
8 ) By the time you're done with the last finger, the first finger you worked on should be "done"
9) Simply remove the foil. The glitters should be so much easier to be removed now. Don't waste the small piece of cotton pad! You can just rub it on the nail.
I hope the above is clear enough. If not, I can take some pictures for better illustration.
After learning this method, I use it to remove dark colour polishes as well. I'm lazy. Haha.
HTH![]()
sparkled : i read this method on a blog before but it doesnt work very well either. Its said that the aluminium will create some chemical reaction with the acetone to make removal easier but it works so so only
Renie: Hmmm.. It has always worked for me, even if I have like seven coats of polish.
I had encountered manicurists who tried to just file the glitters off my nails. But I think that's very harmful to our nails.![]()
removing dark coloured nail polish of thick layers is still easier to removed than chunky glittery ones![]()
SUper like this! Wonder if any local store sells it!

I love Glitter polish. And I have many color of nail polish. Nail polish has been traditionally worn by women, but has recently become more popular with men. Traditional colors for nail polish were red, pink and brown, and it can now be found in virtually any color. Thanks![]()
usually i'll just apply a thick coat of topcoat after a few days of wear, a day later it'll be easy to peel off in one thick piece![]()
