Do you prefer the nail place to recommend colour or choose your own?

hmm wondering if most of us prefer to choose our own colours or rely on the manicurist's recommendation for colours?

Sometimes I like manicurist to recommend but after they recommend, paiseh to be too choosy and have little basis to change from if they don't show you the palette.

But then some place just ask you to pick from a palette and I am spoilt for choice and when you ask the manicurist for opinion, they just show you how it look on your nail and say something non commital like this one also can, that one also okay when you need a recommendation.

sometimes i go in knowing a colour that i already want so i don;t have to ask the manicurist opinion but at other times, i have a few colours in mind so i ask her for her opinion. but most of the time, im more satisfied with a colour that i chose on my own

hmm.. usually i go for pink shades.. as i know the colour stands out better.. so i just let my manicurist know tt i prefer a pink shade then let her recommend me the colour.
but of course, there are times where i will choose my own preferred colour!

most of the time i choose my own colour....but i agree that it is irritating when you ask for an opinion and the manicurist refuses to give you one....haha

yea.. i totally agree with u.. especially the one i went always recommend weird colours like bright orange or colour which i told her i dun wan.. haha.. but she's a nice lady when come to nail art.. knows ***'s suitable for long and short nails.. but i still prefer opinions from my fren.. she always go with me.. think she tired of giving me suggestions.. haha...

I usually choose my own unless I can't decide. Then I will ask for recommendations and to test out on the nails first

i usually cant decide on the color that i want, so i tell the manicurist the family of colors i want- ie warm colors, cool colors, pink etc and get her to recommend some to me

I think most manicurists would be reluctant to recommend specific colours, just in case the customer doesn't like how it turns out and blames her. Haha.

I choose my own colours, and most of the time they are either in shades of pink or red. If I cannot find the shade I want, then I will ask the manicurist... But I hardly go to the same nail place twice, so I trust my own judgement better!

I usually choose my own. I always have something in mind when i go for mani/pedi but when i'm really clueless, i do ask them for suggestions, but i always decide the colours on my own.

i find that OPI's colour shades can be relatively similar.. and esp if comes to nail art, i would prefer my manicurist to help me with the colour choosing
