Length of time nail polish stays on your nails

Hi Girls,

I have been recently interested in getting my nails polished more often but I wonder how long do you babes keep the nail polish colour before you erase them away with remover and paint a new coat. As for me, when I get nice manicures with nail art done by professionals, i never seem to want to clean them away even after 2-3 weeks, untill they slowly erode or chip away themselves as I feel hard pain when i think of having to wash the artwork I paid for, away.

However, I have a few concerns on whether keeping nail laquer on nails for too long may cause nails to become yellowish, especially the dark-coloured ones. Lets share how long we keep our polishes on:

i keep normal menicure for only 3 days.......... sometime when i do a nail art i really like, for max i only keep one week..... anything more will cos my nailsto break or chip

for legs.... i can keep up to a month.....

when they start to chip,time to remove.

hmm... i don't paint my finger nails as i'm too lazy to remove it. As for pedicure, i can keep for a month. I use a good base coat so it helps to keep my nails from turning yellowish and moisturize my nails at the same time.

On my finger nails will be 1 week and toenails will be 2 to 3 weeks. But now super yellow nails! UGLY.

my french manicure only stays on for 3 days max cos my nails grow out really fast.

to make the dark-colored polishes last longer, apply a protective base coat first if you're doing a diy mani

Hi babes, thanks for all your inputs. Now I realised that I have been ill-treating my nails all along . I thought it was ok for nail polish to stay on nails for at least 3 weeks. Now I know....thank you all once again.

only let nail polishes stay on my fingernails for max 3 days plus do not like to leave nail polishes too long on my nails , cause if left for 1week - 2weeks the nail will turn yellowish when nail polish removed

mine stay for more than a week because i always apply a layer of top coat on the colour so as to prevent the colour from dropping.

Also, I use TFS nail supplement as my base coat. cheap and not too bad considering the price i pay..

finger nails for around 2 weeks. toe nails around 3 weeks

Mine is always less than a week. I always use the transparent from Sally Hansen and i got a habit of applying it many coats then peel it off when its chipped.

mine last about 5-6 days on fingernails providing applying top coat everyday from 2nd day. on toes usually will last with no chip about 2-3 weeks, will only change when i see my nail grow, hehe lazy me..
