I love the decor of Petit Nail House, she really put alot of time & heart in it. Every small detail was so girly. Clara love pink as you can see the themes are in pink! Those who love pink will definately love this place.
Although the shop is small but the feeling was very cozy!

As you can she did my nail with lots of crystal, she's not stingy at all. Normally other saloon charge by $1 for 1. The mani nail art she charge me $6 for 31 crystal.
She don't push sales to you, She will not ask you to buy package or products.

See to believe it! Everyone was with praises wen I'm in the train, banks, food centre, shopping mall, everyone was like yr nails is it real? very nice you know .. Faint !!!!! Of cos la.. and best part is very lasting.

anyway, I'm a freak whr all this beauty tips is concern and trust me u have to try. oh ya! share with u gersss she jus represented her skool & won nail art competition '1st prize' steady right .. she beat the contestant fm Korea, malaysia, taiwan, japan and she is the only sin rep.

I like very hard sell, but I don't want u gersss to waste your money else where and get bad result.

Hi Jess, I am a regular too hahaha.....she is really good. One reason I am quite hesistant to share is because she already has her hands full! Its quite difficult to get appointments because the word has spread by word of mouth and she is real busy

She open quite late, maybe she cant take last min appointment. Really like her creative design & she go into every detail, so i won't mind waiting for the best.

She is still studying. So she opens after her lessons and sometimes reaches home after 11pm!! yes thats how late she has to work!

its either clara is that good and anyhow did me and my friends nails .. which even my kid sister and asked if i did it myself.. the strokes are thicks and unskillful... or she is really as normal as she did our nails...

Haha.. the way you talk, red apple, it's like as if you are a competitor. Or at least i would think you're one. Haha, even you know about Nailmax and nail up, fantastic! Good to know there are people out there who care so much for nails and the nail industry. I like those magazines too but pity im too impatient to work in the nails industry or any industry that requires too much of my concentration.
But unfortunately for you I would have to agree with stupiggirl too. She did join a competition and won first prize, i was there to do my nails on friday and saw the many pictures of her competition. Maybe you could take a trip down and take a look for yourself. (In fact i think second prize went to a korean if i *** rem wrongly.) I was an eye witness like so many others before me.. and i'm really happy for clara and how far she has gone as she has been in this line for quite a few years and picked up this skill through sheer hard work and dedication, i know because i have been a regular of hers since her salon days.
I also don't think it's right for you to talk like she has offended you personally. This forum is to voice our good and bad experiences and to share these experiences with others. Seems like you have not even tried her services, much less walk past her nail shop and talking to her.
By complimenting her on this forum, we wish the best of sales to her and that she goes far in this line. I agree with dozalot, i was initially not very willing to share her with you guys, even now its hard for me to get an appointment with her even though i have been with her for years. LOL
Somehow i don't think it will be long before you see her work on those magazines you mentioned. I heard she is going to apply for her licensing exam in Japan and she is taking classes for them. I hope she stays working here in singapore after she gets it. I'm sure she knows that there are many people who can do it better than her, and i have confidence in her that she is constantly learning to make herself better.
I have been so supportive of her because i have never seen anyone so dedicated to their job before. She really puts her heart to do her best in completing whatever she is doing. I don't know about you lil-petals but maybe you should give her another go.. maybe she wasn't feeling well or it was the new opening of her shop and she was feeling jittery, after all her shop is really new. So far i have not experienced any less-than-perfect service from her except for the time when i was really 'suay' to have gone to her just before she got hospitalised. (apparently her tummy gives her alot of trouble) So i don't know la, readers can judge for themselves la, if you never been to her, go and try, those who have, you like it, please comment, you don't, all the more you should comment, so she can continue to improve.
I'm for her all the way, are you?

Tank Q veri much! No sweat but my sentiment exactly with all your comments. By the way, if you need to fix appointment with her do so this few days she might leave town end of this week and after she is back from her trip her schedules will be very pack.

So far have not seen any pics posted here so we can't guage her work. I think being a nail artist is not just having nice nail art skills. I have tried a few nail artist who can paint and draw very well but i get ingrown toe nails after 2 weeks!! So far i seldom come accross manicurist who can give very good advice. When i got bruise on the big toe, they said its fungus and ask me to buy the fungus solution! Cuticles dry, buy cuticle oil, calloused feet buy a expensive cream! I am very particular on how the nail is filed, cuticles and callouse removed by filling. Of course nice nail art skills will be great. Actually i passed by this shop a few times and always got customers inside so never go near, but i like a place where they have proper drainage system that can wash the feet properly and more hygine. Tools steralised after each use. Next time i pass by, i will try her nail art then post it here ok

yes, compeititors' standard are the benchmarkers in a way. but to be fair.. i have to say that her skills are really not as well as it seems like in terms of the awards and praises. We do not know the the compeititors standard and can only assume that with the winner out of such competition is bound to be better than average. but when i went to her with my gf for a manicure with nail art.. her skills was pretty disappointing.. it was simply average to me... but to all the other people who has seen my nails everytime I have a nail session commented that it is was the worst they had seen me do.. thick and rough strokes of nail art... really looks like beginners work... and that really make me feel that it is not worth the amount I was paying not because the work done is bad.. but the comments hit hard.. and bringing my gf for her virgin manicure.. I choose Clara as I saw the raves of her some time back but in the end.. my gf was very disappointment as well... to balance up with that.. she is one friendly girl.. with good customer service
well.. i believe everyone have different preference.. it is pretty impossible to find the perfect one as flaws are bound be there whereby opinions and expectations varies .. either we had a little of both, more of the other and lesser of another...

she did it all by herself.. and her nail art was the worst I ever done... honest. I am not trying to put a bad name for her but seriously.. people around me can verify so. My gf was so disappointed with her virgin manicure and nail art.. she was like... 'how come the nail art like so rough strokes and unskillful ? totally different for the ones you had before..' when my gf ask me this.. i dunno want to feel bad for a bad choice or upset that it turn out like this. it was disappointing for both her and me.. i am not too keen to try it out again.. it is more than just bad skills.. the after that comments and happenings reallly made it like one time off...
