Sharing my experience at Shanghai Dreams. My brother worked with them before and recommended Charmaine. I've been there thrice. Experience was average. The environment is excellent - not cramp and very unique. I always request for Charmaine to do my nails but in the end it's always Zahra. Zahra is very chatty but her skills are average and inconsistent. My nailart looks different and unbalanced on each finger. I usually end up getting very disappointed about my nails but still went back to them eventually because of the environment there.

I've decided not to return since I always don't get who I want to do my nails.

i've been there once simply becos my regular salon was closed for a private function. didnt give me a good impression from the start. i was given some nail colours to choose and i waited 30 min for someone to come ask me what colours i wanted (the salon wasnt even crowded). then the pedi and mani were done in a hurry which was alittle disappointing. the gals were chatty though but i had already lost all mood due to the waiting. wont go back again.

i agree the gals are rather chatty..sometimes i am so tired that i wish i can just rest and they can just stop talking to me...........

i still have 2 pedi & 3 mani left to go ....... wonder when i will use them up.......

I went down to do mani & pedi yesterday under UOB promotion. As i seldom go for mani & pedi, overall is not bad as long they do a neat & nice job for me. Has sign up another session with them as well.

went to do my mani n pedi yesterday. after leaving the shop, i realise there is alot of small bubbles on the nail polish, is not smooth at all. so disappointed, lucky i didnt sign any package with them even though is very cheap. S$150 for 5 mani & pedi session paying by UOB credit card.

i agree with blurblur25...
i went for my mani pedi 2 days ago...their standard dropped alot
the polish was not done evenly..i can see some spots not covered......and my nails was not filed nicely, 2nd finger nail has an uneven shape.....argh !
and i hate it when the are fully packed...soon after they applied my mani and pedi, they asked me to shift to another seat when my nails are not yet dry up. when they see there is not enough seats, they will tell you your nails are dry and you can go.....but in actual, they are not dried up....

recently they bring in a new nail art machine.......advice you gals not to try, unless you have spare money to spend......cos i hear a customer complaining the effect very bad, do not look as good as the catalogue pic shown and it cost $3 per nail if i am not wrong........

so regretted signing up their package ....i still has 2 more mani pedi sets to go.....argh.......cannot wait to quickly finish up and try other salons.....

I acc my friends down for their mani and pedi...i love their atmosphere...price wise is reasonable too...but i never really try their service so i cannot comments much on that...But they are all very friendly...the girl even offer to touch up my mani which had chipped off (though i did not do my mani there)...

Yes I agree the staff there are very friendly. But I feel they did a rush job for me the last time I went. cuticles are not cleaned properly, and they finish both my mani and pedi in 45minutes. The mani and pedi are done separately, not done at the same time by 2 persons.

Actually i beg to differ.....tho i've been there only 2x, the service i got were so far so good, tho it's not fantastic. For the drying part, i usu tell them that i want my nails to be dry, and they'll get me a corner to use the nail dryer. I believe, as customer, we have the right to decide whether our nails are really dry rite? During the period of Christmas, sis n i tried their Nail Art Machine. Though the machine was not really that easy to use and u've gotta position ur finger and nail properly in a suitable direction(depends on how cooperative the machine is with u), the results were good. My frens and colleagues all love the xmas designs i chose. Charlotte was nice too, she even allowed us to redo the nail art, if the print out was really not to satisfaction. But then, of coz, i dun ask her to redo plenty of times too.
