    hello lighthearts,

do you always cut your nails extra short? my guess is ingrown happens because of this.

    aye.

    does nail harders work?
    Hey,

I have similar problem as you.. and i realised it's due to the nail polish i use. At the same time, i also apply nail harders - diamond shine to strengthen my nails and it really works! try it!

Totally understand! after the first layer peels off, the remaining layer is very soft and thin and will easily break off too! try some nail strengthener. It works wonders for me.

Few things are not for every one.We Just simply should understand this.Few ladies blindly follow others and later get harm.grow your nail but take care of that as you do for your skin.Avoid your eyes from your nails if you have long sharp nails...

Same goes for my toe nails! Extremely brittle. Am giving Sally Hansen's Miracle Cure a try. Hope it works!

    Cheers,

Same same! I also use Sally Hansen products but it's Diamond Strength. It prevents all the peeling.

    Hi there,

You need to know the reason for your brittle nails. Is this sth that is with you since day one or is it due to nail extensions.

if your brittle nails has been a problem since long time ago you may try the following:

    1. Apply nail strengthener from products such as OPI or Sally
    2. Perhaps a base coat could help or even painting your nails to give it extra layers

if it has been due to extensions:

possibility is that when you remove the extension on our own (through plucking out) or to the salon through filling, the layer of your nail thins down as you peel it off on your own or perhaps the salon that has filled off the extension could have over file into your natural nail accidentally. hence you can either:

    1. give your nail a small break before doing anymore extension again
    2. do an extension, however you need to be certain to get a professional one that can do it for you and it stays on for a 1 mth, no removal, just have to bear with it and file off the over grown length as it grows till the entire extension is filed off (as you maintain your nail length) would be the best situation

    hope this helps

    (:

i accidentally drop my wine bottle on my toe, then few mths later my toe dropped out. It took me bout 1 year to grow back the toe, but too bad i didnt take really good care. Now although i got my toe nail back, but it's very unhealthy, full of fungal. I had tried Dr.G antimicrobial, and it dun really work. Recently i read online that there's a product called Zeta Clear, they claimed it got better result than Dr. G's. Anyone tried it before, and know where to get in Singapore? or anyone here got any better solution for fungal? I have fungal for 1-2 years already, really hope to get rid of it.

    Default problematic nails

can somebody help me? i have very dry skin, feet, and nails..
does anyone of you have the same problem? can anyone give me any recommendations?

    (1) Problem 1
i am not sure if there are fungal infections for some of my toenails.. the nails seem to have just separated from the nail bed suddenly. (idk whether i should get a pedicure or see a doc regarding this, or do you all recommend any products that i should use)
and i decided to cut it away for one of my toenail and now.. for that toenail, i only have half a toe nail left... i totally regret my actions.. it is really ugly.. but i cant stand it that some of the nails are totally not attached to the nail bed. i am thinking of attaching a short fake nail to prevent myself from cutting it further and also to protect it.. i dont know whether it is a good choice..

i dont know what to do now.. i am thinking of going for a pedicure.. or to see a doc regarding my nails..
what should i do now..i want my nails to grow back !!

    (2) Problem 2
i have a blue black on one of my nails too.. and i went ahead to cut that particular nail damn short so that i cut away the ugly blue black.. now it is really really short.. practically no nails at all.. is there any thing that I can apply to strengthen and fasten the growth rate??

    (3) Problem 3
my small toe on both feet is not pointing upwards.. it is pointing outwards such that half of the nail is usually in contact with the floor. i hate it.. and i usually cut off the nail such that only half remains.. i have this habit of cutting my nails really short.. and now the last toe practically have no nail and have a lot of dead skin and dried white stuff..

does anyone know of any products that i can use??
    please help me
should i see a doc or just get a pedicure..

My nails accidentally broke today so I dont want to put color on it now because it seems not nice if my nails is shortly cut.
