i'm using a brand call Nutra Nails, which is around USD11, wanted to get DrG initially but it's 19.95, and i compared the ingredients used which is the same know as Benzalkonium Chloride.

    Hi everyone,

I have nail fungus problem as well, as confirmed by my podiatrist.... However, they do not have the oral pills for killing the nail fungus problem and recommended to go to a GP to get a prescription for it.

Will Dr G clear nail or Varisi Restore nails help? He mentioned thatfor my case, its quite serious and doubt the topical applications can help.... However, I'm afraid of the side effect of liver toxification..... so am at 2 minds to get the prescription...

Other than that I also have split nails from the nail root that is a result of surgery to remove the problem ingrown nail... in which he said to clear the nail fungus fist ebfore considering the options of treating the split nails.

    Any opinions?

May I know what kind of doctors you visit if you suspect that you suffer from onycholysis?
    Normal clinic or dermatologist?
And if is dermatologist, are there any in the west?

    I think I suffer from onycholysis T.T
I don't even use acrylic nails! Just turn 17 only ***, my nails are only 17 years old and they get fungal infection???

Could it be due to me constantly applying and removing nail polish?

My nail beds are all so uneven on my fingers. All 10 of them.
And there's a lot of the white part.
Can tell that some of the nail bed has recede cos can see the mark after I trim away the white part...

Will my nails ever grow back to look normal?
Nail beds have been short and uneven for such a long time.
Just that recently, I realised that they are receding even more, and are a lot more uneven than before.

Nails fungus is highly contagious. Although instruments are "sanitized" in salons, I tend to think emerya boards are not, if not included in the sanitized packet, nor are the scrapers for feet or nail brushes. Orange sticks may be used over and over as well. Aside from the sanitized instruments, I would suggest that you take your own nail brush, emery boards, and anything else you see that doesn't come out of the sanitized package. And most of all - bring your own foot scraper.

I will tell you this: santize your keyboard. I worked in a company where a secretary who never, ever went to a nail salon, never, ever wore nail polish, contracted nail fungus. The firm worked 24/7 and in shifts. As a result various people would end up sitting at your secretarial station using your equipment. It seems that she caught if from her keyboard.

helo..in fact getting fungus is very common in singaporebecause of humidity..an advise tou is that its better to get in nail salon for the fungus solutions as better quality are sold there..they have professional brand like DR'G Clear Nai(gel base)lthat kills fungus that cause infections..its retail @ $44..but its worth it.. another type will be Formula 3(oil base) retail at @$23.

ive tried both and it shows result n of course u have to apply it daily..

u should giv a try take care
