Any read of the Bag Rental Scam in Singapore?

I read about this bag rental scam at deluxemall where this girl rent bags and then sold it off at a 2nd hand bag shop

She is really very daring. Singapore is so small..where can she hide and run to. She is taking a very silly risk by doing this.

If would-be conmen/women actually sit down and think it through, they will realise they are going to get caught in the end. How can anyone leave so much evidence and hope to get away with it?
