Hi I have this diamond ring from Meyson Jewellery which I need to sell urgently because of some unforseen circumstances. I have already posted a sales list here but I think my chances of selling it are slim. Is there anywhere else I can sell it for a reasonable price? I dont think pawnshops give a good deal.Please help!
Y dont u bring it back to meyson & check with them if you could sell it back to them? I rem some jewellery shop allows one to exchange the jewellery for another one for whatever reasons u dont like. If not, u may have to bring it to a pawnshop. All the best
i dont think those shops will accept their rings back. they are only interested if u go for the 'full upgrade'.
i checked yr ring specs and i think its not that good so its really hard for u to sell off at pawnshop etc too. do u have yellow gold those are more value for $ can sell to pawnshop etc or those jewellery shop
First of all, you need to let us know the spec of the diamond ring and whether does it comes with GIA certificate.
I have pulled out the information form your sales thread.
"From the Starrs Perfect Brilliance collection I think. Comes with the original box. Rarely worn.
Info taken from the certificate
shape and cutting style: round briliant
weight: 0.34 ct
clarity: SI1
colour grade:H
Original price: $735
Selling price: $500"
I guess pawnshops will accept some that they feel with value though they commonly prefer yellow gold. However, i think their take in rate is very bad.
You may try Meyson, they may take back at a % of the price. How long was the ring bought for?
I am not sure but I heard that normally people will only take in at less than 50% of the purchase price.
If it comes with a GIA sert, the price may be slightly better.

yup it comes with the cert. All the info is taken from the cert. The ring was bought in 2007 but I rarely wore it.
I wished I had gold but no this is the only piece of jewellery I have.
Im not sure if Meyson will take it back because I remembered they had an upgrade option too.
So I should try reducing my price or try the pawnshop? Im waiting for this person from another forum to reply about his diamond broker contact. That person said the diamond broker offers better price than pawnshops.

smaller diamonds usually don't have real resale value. The GIA cert only certifies its specs, but doesn't mean it's a good diamond.
At H colour and SI1 clarity, sorry to say, but you probably won't get even 1/2 your purchase price...
Or else try posting on Ebay.com.sg?
hi, i got a diamond ring from Meyson (Hearts and Arrows) which i bot on 3 sept, nv wore before.
it is a 5 diamond ring with 5 separate certs. Cost around 1.9k
Carat weight = 0.15ct
Colour = F
Clarity = VS
where and how much can i sell it now?
Thanks in advance.![]()
erm normally diamonds do not or have very low resale value...it's the gold that it comes with that might have added a value to it.
you might want to take it to a local pawn shop to try & see if the pawn shop owner takes it at how much of a price before trying other places like ebay?
at least it gives you an idea of how much it is worth....

Any one knows which jewellery can I sell my ring to?any one knows any diamond broker?
The resale price of diamonds are huge difference compare to the one u pay for them. Unless yours fall into the famous and huge diamond category. Good luck dear
I think her problem is not where to sell but how to not lose so much money. lol. Pawnshop she did mention they don't offer her enough price. As for ebay could be really time consuming if she need the money urgently, too low the price she felt heavy lose...too high the reserve price nobody will bid or buy. Correct me if my words don't make senseSomehow i still wish u luck

sell to friends? can give them the receipt as well.... if they go n buy from the shops itself will be at original price but u can sell cheaper. win-win situation.
