It actually depends which item you like. Can't compare T&C to goldsmith designs. It's like comparing Chanel bags and look-alike ones from Charles and KeithBut does it mean the people who buy from Chanel are silly for spending thousands of dollars when Charles and Keith's ones are just $50? The answer is up to individual. My 2 cents.....
agree with bee!!!
it really depends on the design, if i really really love it, even if its silver, i'll get it![]()
I thought of another example.T&Co came out with the mesh ring a few years back (it's still very popular and there are different variations of this mesh ring now). Immediately it became a favourite among many. Saw alot of similar designs from Perlini's Silver and Goldheart, but they are just not that nice, IMHO. So even if it's just sterling silver, it's the design that makes it unique.
but also another thought.. some of the tiffany designs can be ripped off :p
i saw the atlas ring with diamonds around the band at a jeweller, question is whether the quality is good enough/as good.
speaking of the mesh ring, i think i should take it out to wear. have not been wearing it for a long time and was even thinking of putting it up for sale![]()
Truth is, it's all about prestige. Tiffany and Chanel has it, but normal goldsmith shops and Charles & Keith do not. They cater to different kinds of people.
Also these designs can't command the prices they do, for nothing. They have fine little details that separates them from the masses. In the end that's what matters most. Like they said ''God is in the details'' !![]()
T&C servicing for silver used to be free, ut now they are charging. Better get your own silver cleaning liquid from silver shop to clean those oxidised silver. Save $
What the difference between plat and white gold ?
