hi all

any mont blanc jewellery owner or lovers here? yesterday i was browsing their collection in store and thought this necklace looks interesting.

its linked by 4 chains with catches that interlock one another and u can take them out. so u can wear it as a y-necklace, or ''lock'' the end of the y-necklace to another catch so that it becomes a two tier necklace.

its silver plated with rhodium. any comments? thanks!

i wanted to ask, tiffany's silver is just 925 right and it isnt coated with anything right?

what does coating with the rhodium mean/do actually?

i have a couple of t&co silver items but i avoid wearing them because they seem to tarnish really easily and it gets kinda irritating at times.

:/ is $480 like.... really pricey for something like this? i shall go to their boutique sometime this week lol. oops :D

keke t&co is just pure 925 silver for their silver jewellery, not coated with anything.

i guess rhodium coated is just that a layer of rhodium is painted over the silver, to prevent silver from tarnishing faster? just a guess haha. once the rhodium coating comes off (depending on how u take care), the silver will emerge & tarnish just like t&co? lol. i know alot of perlini silver items are rhodium plated, my ears cant take rhodium earrings. dont know why t&co are non coated haha.

u should wear your t&co more often..dont waste keke. when it tarnish u can just polish it again but its better to use the cloth to polish rather than the solution. i find that the solution is stronger and the more u polish the faster it tarnish. i polish mine like once a year?

yup $480 is really pricey for the mont blanc necklace. i own a few t&co pcs so im looking at other brands. any other brands to rec besides t&co? i know george jensen is equally expensive and dior accessories arent that fantastic.

I like this necklace too, went to boutique to view before... Actually all the mont blanc designs are quite nice, slight abit cheaper than T&C.... If i'm not wrong, this necklace design is launched quite some time back and is out of stock already... You can call the boutique to check...

i'm so weak i took a detour to town today to mont blanc to have a look at the necklace to decide if i wanted to buy it. its actually very nice, but its abit too chunky in real life for my taste. and it didnt really look that fantastic when you wear it as a 'two tier' thing. it was alot nicer when worn as the 'Y' shape, just that it was abit too long for my preference. but i really liked the 'loops' with the MB symbol

and its $425 only!! lol. taka's branch still has it, but its not out on display :D

I love silver jewelry, so when a true designer releases a silver collection I lust after the pieces. This spring when I got to San Francisco I am definitely buying a silver ring/necklace/cuff from them. And their steel jewelry has a lot of style too!

What are the price ranges for silver Montblanc jewelry? Is it shocking, a price range above Hermes silver?
