hey girls, wondering if anyone of you out there have experienced losing a ring cuz you take it off in the toilet while washing your hands and forgot about it later?
What do you do when this happens??
It may not be a very expensive ring, but it means alot to me. Should I try to buy the exact same one again or just forget about it?
Need your input on this girls.
ouch it hurts, hmm, depends on how much the ring means to me.
yes i do experience washing hands and my ring tends to slip do be careful the next time u wash or try to remove them n insert them in ur safe pockets first.err,i may not go get the exact same one as it won't replace the one i had previously.Cheer up girl!
I once misplaced a bracelet too, and it was an item of much sentimental value to me. I actually bought a new one to replace it (but I didn't specifically shop for a new one, just happened to chance upon a near identical bracelet and bought it). So yeah, if the item means a lot to you and ain't too pricey, probably you can get a replacement to ease your 'heart-ache'?![]()
I lost my ring at the california fitness gym .. it was my engagement ring which i've worn for nearly 6 years .. i went back to Asprial wanting a replacement but gave up cos an exact same ring costs 2.5times more! My DH promise a new set for 2 of us on our 10th anniversary![]()
It does hurts alot when i first lost it and i almost couldnt think straight .. walking blankly down orchard road .. but i'm ok now .. time heals ..
Replacing the ring woule depend on what you feel towards it because even if it's replaced it won't ever take the place of the original with all its memories and all the memories are in your head so there's not much point in replacing it as you know its true importance.
But then again, if you want another to remind you of the happy memories, why not replace it? It really depends on you.
yea, precisely cuz it wont replace my memories thats why i dont know if i should get another. but maybe if i get a replacement, i wont feel so guilty?? or is that not possible?
i lost my wedding ring too. Was at the beach while on honeymoon in Korea, i got too excited when i saw the sea. I just touched the water... and the wave came and washed my ring away. I could feel it slipping off my finger... and it was gone... forever lost in the deep blue sea.The ring wasn't even 1 week old on my fingers yet...
Hubby so sweet... when we can back to SIngapore, he got the smae ring custom-made, 1 size smaller for me... now it definately won;t slip off again.![]()
I lost it once in Marina Square (before the revamp) and was searching high and low for it. It was closing time and almost all shops were closed. I thought I might have lost it in the steamboat restaurant but it was already closed. I was upset as it was a birthday present from my friend. I kept praying to God for help.
The very next day, I went back to the same restaurant and asked the cashier. And yes! I found it!
I cried when i lost it at the public sink, as well. It was my first eternity diamond ring my ex bf gave me. Could only try to sleep that night and forget about it the next morning.![]()
just lost mine on CNY eve this yr.
didnt even realised that i've lost it...
it was sort of like an engagement ring with small solitare... cost about $250+
soo heart pain...
but hubby got me a sapphire ring soon to replace that (the sapphire ring cost him close to $500)
i didnt lost ring but lost a bracelet i boughth in hk. very nice bracelet and i realised i lost it when i'm in orchard road. look for a while but still cant find it. so gone forever. love the design and never did see it in sg. so sad.
for those who have lost ring in p ublic toilet, i thought u should try and see if the bottom area can be removed? ring is heavy object and normally set onto the basin bottom instead of being washed away. i do know that some basins are not like home basin where they can be screwed easily. maybe just report to the security and management. next time see can get it back. what to do......... at least tried and do somethingi about it.
If a ring can slip out of your finger while washing hands, it is definitely too loose for you.
My bestie once had her ring slipped out of her finger while she was throwing rubbish away. The ring went along with the rubbish into the bin. Gosh. She was frantically searching through the rubbish bin for her ring. I almost wanted to help her find, luckily the ring was found near the top rubbish. Haha. I was guilty of laughing away.
One habit of mine is i don't take out and place my ring on the sink in the washroom. If really need to, i'll put my ring in my pocket. In case you really forget to put back your ring, you still have it in your pocket.![]()
yup, the lesson learnt is to never wear a loose ring. if its loose, try it on other fingers. if still loose, get it alter. otherwise never use soap while u are washing yr hands with that loose ring. chances r u will say byebye to it unless u bend yr finger while washing it.
oh no dear! i generally hate it when i lose things, worse if it has a sentimental value
anyway i say go and buy another one as replacement! otherwise you'll keep thinking about the one you lost!
