Yes, Soo Kee are more pricey, but I think you are paying for clarity.
i am so regret! i can get a much bigger one with 3k.
I wonder what comes first for you guys?
For me:
1. Cut
2. Size
3. Color
4. Clarity![]()

how a diamond is cut directy contributes to how much fire and brilliance it has, hence it's importance.
it could be that all your colleagues have diamonds which have cut quality that are roughly similar hence you can't see much difference.
agree about the colour part. i suppose while those who emphasise on cut will not sacrifice on that factor, we may be more flexible when it comes to the 3 other Cs but still have our minimum standards for those Cs. after all, the 4Cs contribute to a diamond's beauty each in its own way. for example, i will choose a F colour well cut diamond over a D colour poorly cut one because, when you put them side by side, you will be able to see a difference.

i hardly post there. usually i go there only to drool too.
i am so glad i was introduced to that forum by one of my colleagues before we started hunting for my engagement ring. i armed myself with loads of knowledge before visiting my jeweler and bombarded him with questions. i think after a while he got pretty sian of me! haha
