Oohh I LOVE jade (in fact, I wanted to name my girl Jade initially )! But the thing is, how in the world do I tell the difference between genuine jade and fakes one? I had been thinking about a Jade piece for a while, but didnt take plunge cause cant tell authenticity for nuts

Another jade lover here! I only start liking it all over again, when I browsed a magazine some years back, and saw the modern design! Totally the new designs. Gold + jade = not for me!

Currently, I only have a pair of hoop earrings with jade pieces hanging. And I love it lots! I would love to get more jade pieces, but like other jewellery, they don't come cheap.

My friend told me nowadays if you want to get good jade or those dark green types. Is impossible to get as the dark green jade in the market now are injected with colour

So sad, we digged out the good jades So my advise is don't slurge too much on buying as we're not expert in differentiating it If not through mouth advertising to know which shop is selling a good one or ask our Mum

I think jade are nice but presently I still don't have the feeling like I need to own or wear one.

I personally think its not easy to wear jade because to wear it nice you need to have some style/class or else it can create a very opposite effect. Thus, contemporary jade designs are really helpful.

I also think jade with diamonds are very appealing but of course it will cost so much.

I know nothing about jade but what I know is that jade changes shades (from dark to light or the other way) based on its owner's "qi". So, whatever you buy can end up looking better because of your aura or less nice. Even if you place it in your drawers, its shade might change based on the environment and it may not be noticable to you. In short, it doesn't permanently stay the same shade.

    I prefer the donut-shaped kind.

Bought a cheap one similar to the first pic and wore it as a choker with those black string. Was heartbroken when I accidently broke it into 2.

i thought I was the only one. At first when I saw the picture posted by Jemay, I thought 'shell', and then I realised I'm reading the Jade thread, Then I went back and looked at the picture properly, and then began to question my ability to differentiate things.
