oh..there's warranty? hmmm..okie, i'll go check the box..thanks!!
think the warranty is 1 yr, my bro's gf's crystal also dropped out and as long as with receipt and warranty, can be replaced free.
i just bought another 2 pcs of swaroviski jewellery on sunday. I was told that warrenty was 2 years.I was not even told in the past...
i think just bring your receipt is fine. :D
2 years? i used to have a mickey mouse charm , but the crystals drop cos i wear everyday. now i threw away already.
hey girls, i'm here to rant
i got a really pretty ribbon ring from swarovski as my 21st birthday and it costs quite a bit. and i only used it for 3 times! i know how to care for my jewelry and have no problems with my other jewelry. mind you, i never ever wash my hands with my ring on, i always put them in my pocket before i do so.
one day, i realised that the crystals around the bottom part of the ribbon has some green residue, and 4 crystals have fallen out. i wasn't shocked because my cousins have their crystals dropping out as well.
i had confidence in swarovski, hence i sent it for repair.
it has been 2 weeks and their customer service just got back to me today.
she said it was my fault that the green residue has been been formed at the crystals due to 'moisture', 'huminity' and possibly 'in touch with water'. hence, they can't do anything about it, and kept pointing out it was the customer's fault. next, she proceed to telling me that because of the green residue around the crystals, they have the right to believe that the crystals have dropped out due to that and NOT a manufacturing defect.
hence, they will not replace the 4 crystals that have dropped out.
can you imagine how heartbroken i am?![]()
i was utterly shocked at the accusations and i am very very disappointed with this brand. she even said that 'people come to swarovski to purchase fashion jewllery and not diamonds' and that i shouldn't expect the product to have longevity, unlike diamonds. i felt really insulted and pissed off. are they really implying that we customers shouldn't expect ANYTHING from them, just because they don't make fine jewelry?
it is just so easy for them to say 'according to the guidelines given from our hq, we have evaluated that the product is not at fault at manufacture.' and push the blame to their customers when the actual fact was, their product itself isn't off quality at all! heck, all of their crystals on their 'fashion jewellery' are all GLUED on. it is known to everyone that their crystals drop off once in a while, and even THEY admit it.
why are they pushing the blame on me and making me pay for their poor manufacturing?
this ring was bought october last year and it was even barely a year. i feel that they have been really stringent in their post-sales service and that the warranty they assure of us isn't off use at all. it's for show only. it's to assure customers that they are trustworthy and has qualitynow the ring is still with them and i have no idea what to do with it. Because they can't even POLISH or CLEAN the ring for me. what kind of jewelry maker can't possibly polish or clean their product? that's the biggest joke of the year.
i am not expecting the crystals to last for a lifetime, but the sense of this product having problems at barely a year old is unacceptable and made me as a consumer feel foolish for trusting this 'liable' brand. and instead of rescuing the situation about their quality, they did nothing to revolve the customer's needs =/= customer service, instead they push the blame to the customer. how clever.
i would never ever ever buy any products from swarovski again and am dismayed at my situation.![]()
i hope you gals learn for this and be very careful when you're about to purchase their products. the crystals are going to drop off and they won't be fixing it for you - unless its for a fee.
