    Default anyone using tabletop ovens?

hey all. just need some recommendation on this.

was out in courts yesterday and saw this tabletop oven from cornell selling for $99 now.

it has quite a reasonable capacity and has different levels of heating settings and adjustable thermostat.

what attracted me was that it's in black and it's on promotion. haha!

was thinking whether to get it as it's having a promotion now with the usual price of $168. quite worth it right? to save around $70.

or anyone has any recommendations on tabletop ovens? would love to get one to bake cookies and all. and my kitchen doesn't have space for those big ovens so the small ones will have to do.

    Hi mummy86

I have a tefal tabletop oven which i bought for just $80+ and it serves me fine.
I have not tried baking cakes but it is fine for the simple cookies, baked rice/pasta, cupcakes/muffins.
If you are not doing heavy duty baking, i think it should do fine.

    thanks for your suggestions dears.

i was looking around during the weekend and just got it since it was on sale.

i supposed cornell is fine especially when they are on offer. quite a steal actually. as long as it works, it's fine with me.

Table top ovens are really great for smaller kitchens and work just as well. The only thing they can't cook is a turkey as it's too large to be fitted into one and roast can't be rotated. Other than that, they're actually very economical and space-saving.

any recommendations for tabletop ovens? using it mainly for baking cakes and cookies. no intention for roasting.

threw away my more than 13 years built-in oven because it doesn't work anymore and looking to buy a tabletop one instead because of space constraints. however, my mum prefer a built-on one but finds it too expensive.

I have been sourcing one for months and finally decide on TOYOMI brand oven at $99 from NTUC AMK Hypermart last Sat. Me too like to do baking but not done it cos got no oven. Now can start with this TOYOMI. Its white, 28L, 4-level heating setting and Turbo wind On & Off button.

I think this is a Good buy.

i got one oven from cornell recently. not sure if it's the same one that you're talking about.

it has a 3 level heating element and also has adjustable temperature which i think is reasonably good for a tabletop oven. the features are simple and yet good enough for me.

i got it from courts during the weekend and just buy since it was on promotion.

I have Tecnogas TEC 3400.For it's price (Tecnogas) at S$129(GST included), its really value for money. I use it for every bake I have with it. Even the fancy Wedding cake I did for a family friend was baked using this basic oven.

    Hi daish,

How is your Toyomi? I bought one a few months ago too, but I realised after my first bake that the temperature knob is not accurate at all. In the end, I bought an oven thermometer and followed its reading instead.

I've been meaning to replace my Tefal which "retired" 3-4 months ago. I have a Cornell oven toaster but it's too small. Something around 26litre would be just nice for my counter-top. The guy at Courts kept pushing Sona but am not keen. I'm not into pastries or cakes but want something to grill dishes.
