Read this on a mag today

Drinking the right amount of water can help you burn more calorie

All your body's chemical reactions, including metabolism, depends on water.

If you are dehydrated, you may be burning up to 2% fewer calories, according to researchers at the University of Utah.

In their study, adults who drank eight or twelve 8-ounce (approx. 250 ml) glasses of water had higher metabolism rates than those who had four.

TIP If your urine is darker than light straw in color, you may not be drinking enough fluid. Try sipping one glass before each meal and snack.

at herbalife, we encourage our customers to drink plenty of water. a rule of thumb that i use to determine how much water to drink is body weight in kg x 0.05.

for example, a person weighing 60 kg should be drinking at least 3.0 L of water a day, including fluid from food.

herbalife products basically helps the person to reduce their overall calorie intake with the shakes while supplementing the vital minerals and vitamins that are missing from the reduced food intake (food nowadays don't have much vitamins and minerals anyway).

of course there are products that help clear the system for better bowel movement. pass out unwanted stuff from your daily food intake.

last of all, if anyone interested to have herbalife products @ cheaper price, can either pm me or email me at peanutbutterbanana1@hotmail.com for more info.

all the best to fight against the calories from cny-goodies and look the best for the upcoming valentine's day!

I have been receiving questions about how to consume the herbalife products for best results so I thought I could share a quick guide here.

    Taken as breakfast:

    1) herbal aloe vera drink before you brush your teeth
three caps herbal aloe vera concentrate + 1 cup ie. 250 ml of water

    2) F1 shake as breakfast
two spoonful of F1 powder + 500 ml of cold water = roughly 100 kcal calories
(you can also create your own recipes to make the shake more interesting but do watch the calories. for example: F1 + 250 ml water + 250 ml milk gives around 200 kcal calories)

    3) herbal tea when you get into office
half teaspoon of herbal tea concentrate + 1 cup ie. 250 ml hot/warm water

These 3 drinks supply you 1 litre of water besides cutting down your morning calories and supplying you with nutrition. (You will notice that I empathise alot on water because it is an important agent in our program.)

It is not a must to follow the the steps strictly. For those with budget constraint, taking the F1 shake is good enough to see some results.

For those who wants to replace their lunch or dinner as well, you can follow (1), (2) & (3). This is exactly what I am doing for my customers when they come to my shop.

The best results I have seen so far is to replace 2 of your meals with these 3 drinks. At herbalife, we still believe in eating a normal meal a day.

I am taking herbalife products now. Mainly for health but with high hopes for weight loss. My loss in terms of kg has been REALLY slow but on the other hand, I do see improvement in terms of energy levels and other ways.

I took herbalife shake 10 yrs ago and to be honest, it tasted really yucky back then. I did not bother to take up the program because of the taste.

I suspect they have change the formula for their shakes now because they taste quite nice to me now. I started with a few products last Dec and up till now, I have lost approx 3kg. My favourite is to mix the vanilla with dutch chocolate shake powder and add half a sachet of instant nescafe coffee mix. The combination tastes like latte or mocha. I remember 10 yrs ago, if you don't mix the mixture with water well enough, it tasted really yucky with the lumps and everything. Now with this formula, even with lumps, I like to munch them because the lumps taste like Kopitiam's milo sprinkled powder drink. I take the shake for breakfast and dinner each day. There are times that I took them only once a day or even throughout the whole day because I really got no time to go out and eat.

I cannot vouch for their weigh loss results since mine is really slow but in terms of others like bowel movement and energy levels, their products do work.

recently, a person with gout condition came to me for advice on losing weight with herbalife.

many people refer to gout as a wealthy lifestyle / dietary illness. this is because people usually develop gout after years of good food such as lots of meat, alchohol and very little water.

a general rule to avoiding gout attack is to reduce protein intake and drink lots of water.

this comes in line with the 3 drinks (aloe, tea, shake) i mentioned earlier which improves water consumption to a healthier level. At the same time, the F1 shake contains just the right amount of soy protein for the body's daily functions.

If you have gout, you should be avoiding soy products in the first place.

    This is a good point.

Soy has a moderate purine content. We reduce the risk of gout symptoms with lots of water. So the aloe drink and herbal tea are equally important.

However, this is very subjective. Which is why we usually spend alot more time in advising / managing gout customer diet.
