i used to suffer from constipation too....but this works for me....ALL THE TIME....and i'm gonna stick to eat....
when u wake up.....dun drink anything except a big glass of cold HL milk..(er...not sure if other brands work but should be dine also)......dun eat anything for the next 1 hr...cereals together with milk should be fine.....
for me...bout 2-3 hrs later (sometiems 1 hr if its fast) i will have the feeling of needing to go to the toilet to do my biz...
took laxatives b4...but its not good...cos ur tummy will be reliant on it and next time if u dun take laxatives...ur system *** know when its time to "sh**". and in the long run....laxaties *** work anymore cos ur syst will be immune to it...

for those who drank prune juice? how long did it take before u start visiting the toilet regularly?
overheard this conversation between 2 ladies. one of them claim that she used to drink this product called "Pai Du Mei Yan Bao" (those living in Singapore might have saw their ad on TV). It helped to visit the toilet reguarly, with no serious discomfort, she just feel the urge to go at least every morning. Anyone tried this product before too?
been having some breakouts around my nose, mouth and body. i think i need to "cleanse" my body, get rid of all those toxic. I dont think i'm the type who will survive the fruits only detox plan, any other solution?
fibrogel & prunes juice help me. I don't have much problem with constipation nowadays. my sis try this new chinese pdt 2 weeks ago. she mentioned that she has to go to the toilet up to 4-5 times a day. It helps to clear her bowel system but not diarrhoea.
The cost is abt $70-$90.
My ma swears by ginseng powder. For myself, I observed that my bowel movements are good when I take my vitamins. My brother thinks so too.
Try psyllium husk. It's very effective. I have a friend who suffers from constipation and even prunes and prune juice doesn't help but psyllium husk does the trick. You just add it to your water/juice or even sprinkle on top of your cereals in the morning. You should be able to find it at all health food stores.
Another method that works for me, hard liquor! I always wake up with an urge to empty my bowels after a night of drinking. Not a healthy method of coz so definitely not recommanded.![]()
I second using psyllium husks, but make sure you drink plenty of water when you take them, they will bulk up in your intestines and without sufficient water intake the constipation can get worse.
Coffee with milk gets me going too.
I am on Xando - it has no caffeine. so no bad side effects of migraine. But constipation!
I was on it & one day my SO decided to order more food like the last time we visited that food court - him his laksa tofu & noodles, me - fish ball noodle soup & he got the combination steak thingy from the western food as well. - we ate that about 3 weeks ago same stuff - i was ok (it was brunch on a sat) but that day i was on Xando I had the worse indigestion fit. Bloating for the rest of the day & such discomfort.
It only eased off a little after i took a cup of yorgurt.
On Xando - not much weight loss after 2 weeks -perhaps the constipation is holding back the weight loss?
try aloe gel capsulesit aids in reducing indigestion....

my cheapo method :
drink a big cuppa OSK green tea aro 2-3 hrs b4 bed each evening.
stopped for a week coz afraid of puffy eyes & my constipation came back. This week i resume. Hope it works.
do drink plenty of plain water during the day too. sometimes we drink too little so malfunction.
i hv this constipated problem too! anyone experience major constipation jus 1 wk before the start of the menstrual cycle?....basically constipation becomes a big problem during that time!....
will hv to resort to gulping a big glass of cold water in the morning and follow by yogurt! this *** helps in 1-2 hrs time

vit_C, from my understanding of how Xando works, it prevents the breakdown of starch into simple sugar molecules which can be absorbed by your intestinal tract. So, the carbohydrates in your meal ends up staying longer in your intestines, giving you the feeling of distension (bloating), hence you cannot eat too much (which is also the rationale of slimming products).
The longer the carbohydrate bulk stays in your gut, the more water is being withdrawn from it causing is to be a huge dry mass and hence add on to constipation. Try drinking lots of fluid when on Xando![]()
I drink two 500ml bottles of water first thing in the morning. Gets the system goin and its good for the skin too (I'm told Huang Biren does it).
For me, eating papayas and dried apricots help a lot too, especially the apricots. I've been goin to the loo abt 3 times a day since i've started eating them..

Yes i was rather bloated already & my SO did not confirm with me what he was ordering. I was so sick & burping & choking from wierd burp that got stuck in the throat.
I am taking yogurt & lots of water for now.
