if you have the moolah to spare, i've heard of people taking some sort of injections to stop sweating. is it botox or something? anyways they inject certain substances in the area to paralyse the sweat glands or something.

if not, try to find an effective anti-perspirant.

yeah i think it's botox too, it "numbs" the glands to prevent it from working.

talc powder? really absorbs moisture, it works better for me at least.

If it's very serious and is affecting your social life, why not try visit a GP and see if you are suitable for an operation? My ex classmate underwent one and her sweating problems stopped. She used to sweat on her palms seriously until it drips. However, I heard from others that if you managed to stop sweating at one part of your body, another part will start sweating profusely. Like if your palms stopped sweating, your back sweats.

agree with artichoke, there is a surgery for sweaty palms whereby the sweat glands on your palms will be killed off. However this will increase the amount of perspiration on other parts of your body for eg. your back or chest.

Not sure if they have the same surgical procedure for sweaty arm pits. The best is still to consult your GP and ask her/him to recommend a specialist to you. Gd Luck!

Qooland, try this product called DRICLOR. You can get it at Guardian. It's an extremely powerful anti perspirant and can eliminate sweating after prolonged usage.

I have tried Driclor before. Didn't help with my sweaty palms at all.

    Hi again,

I'm not sure how serious Qooland's problem is..is it really dripping wet all the time? If it is then i think you should see a doc. But still, there's no harm trying driclor- you never know if it'll work for you. I have tried it before and found it OK. It's like a stronger version of your speedsticks. I used it when i was overseas and it became very drying, so i guess it works to a certain extent depending on the severity of the problem.

KellyC, what are you using to combat your sweaty palms now?

Amanda actually I used Driclor way back during my sec sch days and that didn't help at all. And now that i'm much older I don't experience sweaty palms as much as before. I guess I'm lucky, as I got older, the problem got less severe.
