Hi, I'm a guy and I have this excessive sweating condition called Hyperhidrosis as well. Usually when I'm outside, I'll have excess sweating on my face, palms, feet, body. It causes much social embrassment to me. Affects my driving too. But early this year I decided to go for a surgery for my sweaty palms, called ETS (Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy) at SGH. Spent slightly less than $1000 using my medisave. After 1 week of recovery, my palms are completely dry, my feet also experience much less sweating, my face also have less sweating, which is good news of course. But however I have this compensatory sweating on my chest, back and thighs. I knew this compensatory sweating will happen before I went for the surgery. But it really is quite bad as my upper body really sweat too much. I tried taking Robinul pills that I got from NSC (National Skin Center) but it doesn't seem to help (the pills cost a lot too!). Guess right now I'll try anti-perspirants to help reduce the sweatings.

I am very intersted in drying out Driclor for the palms and feet... I sweat a lot there, it causes a lot of social problems. I read up on it online, seems like very minimal side effects, the most is just irritation of the skin.

I plan to apply it at night and put plastic bags over my feet and hands to prevent it from getting it onto my skin or bed.. anyone uses this product can provide any feedback?

And what is the price in watsons/guardian?

    Hi Funkychicken,

I'm currently using it and it has been my life saver from embrassment. Absolutely satisfied with the product. Yep it suppose to be apply @ night. However, i will not encourage you to put a plastic bag over it as you are suppose to let it dry.

So far i have only bought if from Guardian and its roughly around 20 bucks and it can last a long time as you only have to apply it like once a week

Hope that it will be able to solve ur problem

Disenchanted, that is awesome news! I have horribly sweaty palms and feet too, and its such a nuisance especially when I wear covered shoes to work the whole day. My shoes end up smelling, wet and I can't keep my shoes for very long.

Does using the Driclor cause any inconvenience at all? It sounds too good to be true, and how serious was your sweating problem?

Don't think driclor can be used on the face. It is pretty much like a deodorant in terms of texture but is much stronger to control perspiration.

I tried it before when I had excessive sweating on my palms. Mine was pretty serious as in aircon places my palms will stil sweat or even when I think about. So driclor didn't work for me. I opted for surgery in the end.

i tried driclor. it didn't work. but armpit essentials products work. their armpit repair deodorant will initially make you sweat so you only use it on the weekends or at night along with their armpit repair serum. at www.armpitessentials.com you will read all about problem armpits as they are the expert site on armpits. i've tried their products
and now i like to help others facing the same armpit problems i've had. now i use their
maintenance and whitening deodorants and i find i don't sweat as much, and when i do sweat there is no odor at all. their armpit products are infused with vitamins and antioxidants. all natural and all organic so they actually also help our body and strengthen our immune system because of that.

    hope this helps. www.armpitessentials.com

Sweating of any kind can have a detrimental effect on a person’s moral, and this can be especially true of anxiety sweating. It is true that most any type of excessive sweating can be harmful emotionally to many a person, so what makes anxiety sweating any different?

After all, you still sweat, and in most cases excessively, and you still have to deal with the modern social stigma associated with this natural bodily function. Why then single out anxiety sweating as a problem that can have a vastly negative impact on you? Why not turn instead to night sweating, or excessive sweating due to a health issue, or indeed to any type of excessive sweating?

Because anxiety sweating, unlike the other types of sweating can lead to cyclic anxiety sweating. Or in other words, for the person who tends to sweat excessively when suffering from bouts of anxiety, they will find that their anxiety can become more pronounced as a reaction to their sweating, which in turn can increase their sweating.
