Recently detected with fibroid and cyst. I'm super worried. Pelvis ultrasound showed quite a large fibroid (around 12cm). I visited a gynae and was told have to go for open surgery for the fibroid. I was hoping that a keyhole procedure would do. But gynae said due to size, keyhole procedure not possible.
"Good reviews" gynae i searched online seems more about babies delivery. I wonder is it alright to go to these gynae or should i try to find one who specialises in treatment of fibroids/cysts?
Appreciate any cotters with experience on fibroid/cyst removal, hope you can share and if you do have any gd gynae to recommend... much thanks...
Feel so mentally drained since the detection...
I suffered from very heavy periods for most of my life however, in my forties things went totally out of control and I was just bleeding all the time. I had a fibroid the size of a tennis ball and the constant bleeding had made me anaemic. It was recommended that I have a hysterectomy and as I was definitely not going to have any more children, that is what I did - IT WAS THE BEST THING EVER. To have no more periods is a total joy - my only regret is that I didn't take control of the situation earlier.
All the best, I hope you get things sorted out soon.
I had done my surgery to remove blood cyst last year , as my cysts grow from 5cm to 10 cm.
I was so worry that it burst and got surgery off.
I would advise those girl if you found out that your menses is irregular, better consult doctor, and surgery off when it is still small. I really regrest delay for 1 years till it grow to 10cm. Thanks god, I had it remove finally.
