    Default The Big Weight Loss Thread

    Girls, I have decided that I am going to start losing weight as of today! Let's get at least 5 people who want to start this journey before we document it here! The more the merrier, so we can support each other!

    Post your diet and fitness regime!

    My goal is to reach 45Kg. Anyone with me on this? Post here!

    Awesome job there TiramisuFree!!!

    I have been running a few weight loss events myself...

    So, it is like, I joined my own event to prove to my participants
    that I know how to lose weight.

    Honestly, I am not fat... I was at 50kgs 158cm...
    Now drop to 48kgs, same height... unfortunately...

    & th best thing, I lost my bulging tummy which used to bulge so much...
    LOL...

    cool!! ^-^ let's get inspired to lose.

    ok basically here's what i did (i started last evening by the way, after work)

    15th June 2010:

    1. Hit the gym - did 45 minutes of cardio, followed by 30 minutes of swimming (breaststroke + freestyle), then 20 minutes of sauna. supplemented by accelerade(in yummy orange) and lots of water.
    2. Ate 6 inch subway, veggie delite in toasted hearty italian bread and red wine vinaigrette. NO CHEESE. That was all for dinner.
    3. Walked about 500m back home.

    Not too bad, i didnt feel immensely tired or uncomfortable. i actually feel lighter now, dunno if its psychological or what. and i slept better too! hope i can keep this up!

    weight for the day: 56kg

    yay jiayou!

    im 53kg, target 49kg!

    1) breakfast: tea + fish fillet bread
    2) lunch: ate chicken rice today
    2) at night - 10km cardio, weights!

    thanks babe! no worries to those who dont want to post their weight up too. more importantly, let's keep disciplined and post our activities here, so that we keep on track!


    16th June:

    1. Got home late today, so quite tired and was a little hungry so decided to make myself some dinner first!
    2. Mixed Bean Salad -
    a)2 tbs each of:
    Black Eyed Peas
    Chickpeas
    Edamame (out of the pod)
    Peas
    Broadbeans
    Mung Beans
    b) Mix in a pack of premade salad (bought from Cold Storage)
    c) Vinaigrette: Whisk 4 tbsps of Olive Oil with Apple Cider Vinegar, a little soy sauce and some mirin.
    d) Mix well and serve
    3) Cleared mail and surfed net for 2 hours
    4) Did some 30 sit-ups (not too much, cos just ate dinner) and 50 step-ups at moderate intensity. Went around the neighbourhood for a short stroll (not too far off, cos it was dark already)
    5) Got home and showered
    6) Cotting!

    Weight for today: 56kg (still the same, not expecting it to drop so soon though!)

    For people with experience, when will we start seeing our weight drop??

    17th Jun:

    1) Head straight to gym after work. Got down 1 stop early so that I could catch up on some walking (about 500m).
    2) Did 25 minutes of treadmill and 1 aerobies session (30 mins)
    3) Exercise supplemented with accelerade again as usual Helps keep my hydrated and properly nourished.
    4) Decided to buy from the local gourmet deli near my gym. ate chicken breast salad (with no dressing) + 3 inch tuna focaccia.
    5) Walked home about 250m.
    6) Bathed + Cotting

    Weight for today: 56kg, but i think i sort of see the arrow point slightly more towards 55kg now, so i think about 55.5? LOL!!

    Let's gather at some place & start losing weight, what do you think?

    We can do it once a week, for a few weeks to try out?

    Hard to go on diet, bc I'm eating out with other people. So goal is to cut out supper for now.

    How long have you guys been dieting? I tend to weigh myself at the beginning of the day....... is that wrong?

    156cm 48.8kg as of this morning.

    Plan for today:

    Breakfast: Cereal Biscuits
    Lunch: Chicken Porridge
    Dinner: Tuna Sandwich

    Activity: Run from office back home (Bt Merah to Toa Payoh)

    Let's see if I fulfil this today

    fantastic idea!! i'll see when i can fit into my schedule! the next few months look very busy for me as my company is going through restructuring...how does the competition work?

    haha i just started so im a newbie at dieting girl i think you should weigh yourself at night. cos there's usually water retention in the morning. but i think more importantly, you should weigh yourself at the same time everyday whether morning or night. that way, you can have a benchmark to set yourself against.
