Default Recommendation for Knee Doctor in Sg

My sister has some serious knee problem, i.e. grinding and torn ligament/tendon I'm not too sure what exactly but that her bones at the knee cap almost disappeared already.
Any recommendations for good doctors to do good knee surgery/ops?
    Thanks.

best is go for specialist advise, try not to self-diagnose if situation don't get better. Through government outpatient clinic or through a&e recommendation. Understand the problem and what is the specialist diagnoses.

knee problems are iffy, sometimes it may not be joints but muscular tightness experience.

I've seen people who've been diagnosed to have a knee cap replacement - even injected Synovial Fluids and still have problems, walked into the door with a limp and then after a session of deep tissue massage and therapy, walking out the door with a smile.

Go to a specialist and get an xray, if they can't find anything wrong with the knee caps then it should be a muscular problem then seek an experience deep tissue therapist - Rolfing/active release technique practioner.

    Hi yourslovingly and little.elf,

I'd like to recommend Dr Chia Shi Lu from SGH (he is a specialist at the orthopaedic dept). He did my mom's total knee replacement and has excellent bedside manners. My mom's op went well, and even though she was very anxious and worried alot, the doctor was very patient, friendly, answered all her queries and was never once arrogant or condescending, like some specialists can be. He helped to reassure my mom alot and I think it really aided in her recovery.

Do let us know how your search for knee doc goes. All the best

    Bumpz.

I got knee pain. It's a daily endurance, especially i wear heels and do aerobics regularly (not at the same time of cos. Lol). Wearing knee guards during sports are just temporary relief.

I dont know where I should start as in the right doc. Recommendation?

i recovered from my knee injury some time back, you could try going for treatment at amk! been to Khoo teck puat hosp specialist and they say something about bone structure as i had been having sharp pains since last year. gave some medi and paid quite abit but.. disappointing results though, dr recommend surgery but i refused
then, ask around and my bf got one particular recommendation from several of his army friends who had the same problem and sports injury.
its at amk ave 10, blk 408.. hehez cant remember the unit but it's next to the furniture shop near the singapore pools. "Ed-Cupoint therapy"
Edmund, 94575478.. pretty sure he haven change number, just called and went there 2-3 weeks back..

went through 3-4 treatment since may and Happy* sharp pain gone and i resumed jogging.. once awhile still go there for "Ba Guan" too goody good good for a good night sleep and heatiness after durians with bf! xD
price quite okay, 20-40 for me normally.. much better than specialist fees! :D
hope to help people like me last time, no harm trying compared to surgery eww*. he is a friendly uncle~
