when my OB told me I have PCOS, I spent days and nights researching about it and found out a LOT of women have it, so it lessens my fear...Im not really a sickly person...so the news hit me big time...
Im on my 2nd year now of taking Diane 35 and so far my menses are regular and colored rich red...PCOS is just a stage, after regulating the menses, everything will turn out fine and we all can conceive
its the essence of being a woman

Is it just a stage? I read that its in-born and its for life. Its listed as one of the reasons for infertility in women. 10% of women worldwide has it. It makes me feel better too, knowing im not alien. My Dr told me to go for IVF and not waste time on treatments cos its going to be hard for PCO patients to conceive.

diane-35 is a slightly older OCP compared to yasmin but works equally well. Only difference is that yasmin contains slightly lower levels of hormones (estrogen and progesterone) compared to diane-35 so yasmin should technically cause less weight gain/mood fluctuations. Both OCPs will work well to improve your acne but if you also want to regulate your menses at the same time, then diane-35, with its slightly higher level of hormones, may work better and cause less breakthrough bleeds (ie bleeding in between your periods)

You can refer to http://www.healthtalk.sg/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=26 for an overview of the OCP in general. It gives quite basic info regarding the types and how to choose one according to the condition you have.
