    Hi everyone!

Due to errors with his e-mail system I've been a bit slow posting! I sent him 2 e-mails at ozclinic@korea.com but he didn't receive them, but I posted on his consultation forum at his site and I received prompt reply.

    Btw, his website is http://drpark.co.kr/eng/index.htm

Here's my newest e-mail with Dr. Park:

    >Hello doctor,
    >
    >I've sent you two e-mails this past week but haven't received any reply from you so I guess it might be due to mail errors.
    >
    >-------
    >These past few days I've been seriously considering 5 procedures:
    >
    >1. Cheekbone reduction
    >2. Jaw reduction (changed my mind, I want it done)
    >3. Buccal fat removal
    >4. Nasal elevation
    >5. Eyelid surgery for sleepy eyelids
    >
    >Will adding jaw reduction make it harder to eat? Imagining there are incisions in the upper and lower gum... Have you had patients doing both procedures? Will you be doing both during general anesthesia?
    >
    >And by the way, is it possible to cut just a little bone from my jaws? Like 1 cm? I don't want to make it obvious for my family, friends and boyfriend =S will you also first determine if my jaws are slightly wide due to muscles or bone?
    >
    >Have you seen the pictures I sent you? I would like to hear your neutral opinion on my wishes. People have said that I don't need surgery but I know I do.
    >
    >Will I look a bit older/mature if I undergo all those 5 procedures? Like I've said in my previous mails, I'm not aiming for a caucasian look. Is there anything you can do to prevent this from happening? Most people say I already look a bit mixed, but I don't want to over-enhance it. I just want to look like I've lost weight/have been working out/my features have matured etc.
    >
    >For how many hours will you perform these procedures on me?
    >
    >I'll arrive in at the airport in Seoul at 10am on Oct. 10th (a Friday), and I'm possibly at my hotel at around 12-1PM. Will you be able to do consultation with me that day and surgery next day(on a Saturday)? I'll use the day before surgery to relax and do some groceries.
    >
    >Do you know of any good travel guide/translators in the area? I'm thinking of shopping food for my first week of post-op period, but need some help/guide with translating Korean. I don't have any plans on going out of my hotel the first week. I'll probably look like a monster.
    >
    >Will you also be able to provide me with a list of ideas on liquid/soft food I can eat, before the surgery?
    >Will I look normal after 2 months? If it's a little swelling I won't mind.
    >
    >I appreciate your patience with all my questions!
    >

    I'm sorry for your inconvenience.
Probably, my mail program has some errors.
You can email me to ozclinic@naver.com.

After seeing your pictures, I guessed you were a mixed.
Can I ask your race ?

In wide jaw, muscle plays a little role.
Most of patients have wide jaw bone or flaring jaw bone angle.
If the patient need only minor correction, I usually recommend outer cortex osteotomy in which only outer cortex of mandible is removed and inner cortex maintains the general curvature of jaw.

If you undergo 5 surgery together, it will take about 5 hours.
You will have a difficulty in eating for 3 to 4 days.
In this period, most patients eat only liquid or soft diet.
Most Asian patients prefer instant rice soup which can be bought in convenient store in lobby level of Human Starville Yeoksam.

If you arrive at 10 AM, October 10th, you'd better come to my clinic right after check in your hotel.
You can have a consultation with me and get preoperative test including blood test for your compatibility for general anesthesia.
After surgery at 10 AM, October 11th, you should stay in my clinic for 1 day and can go back to your hotel at the next day.

After 2 to 3 weeks, most of your facial swelling will be subsided and most of your bruise will be disappeared.
After 2 months, you look nearly normal and most of your relatives can't notice whether you underwent surgery.

After all these surgery, you will look smarter and more grown up.

    Regards,

    Hey Dorota!

Caught your message right now =) yeah, I've been bombarding him with questions several times a week now. I should be a bit embarrassed but I'm so happy that he has the patience for answering all my questions.

Anyway, I'm staying in Seoul for about 1 month. And then I'll stay in Shanghai for another 5-6 weeks to learn Chinese and of course, heal even more! I'm taking lots of time off from work!

Dr. Park says that he will take a blood test and do some x-ray on your face structure to see how he can cut your bone. So don't worry about that =)

If you're going to do both cheekbone and jaw redution it will cost around 9000 USD. I'll be leaving this year while the economy in USA is low. It costs less! 1USD is about 5 Norwegian kroners right now compared to 9 Norwegian kroners a couple of years ago.

I will provide you with lots of detailed information and pictures after my procedures. But I'll likely hide my eyes so that I won't be recognizable. Because I don't want anyone to know about my surgeries =(

    How old are you?

Feel free to ask any questions.

I'm 24,5 I'm finishing my studies and go to work Sa you really seem to have a lot of moneyA month in Seaul and 5,6 weeks in Shanghai must really cost. I really want to do that, but i need even more money because i want to shave also this one bigger cheek in front of my face + zygoma + jaw.But I don't think I could earn in Poland so much money sa I 'll do only cheek and zygoma. It's a pity for me.

No offends, but you are already pretty, above average as many told you. And honestly, when I see your picture, I don't really see the flaws you are mentioning.

Sometimes, its not perfection that makes one pretty. Or does it take total sharp features to make one beautiful. Sometimes, if your features are too sharp, and very obvious its surgically enhanced. Theres only one word to describe it, that is fake. Its about the whole package, and the inner confidence that you have.

If you don't love yourself, no matter HOW much surgery you go through. you will always think its not enough. and you may end up like an infamous blogger. remember, PS is addictive.

And it is not successful everytime. What if you turn out uglier than before? People stop praising you that you are pretty?

You may see successful cases of PS, but what about the failure cases? People who need to go for constant revisions, and just wish to have their own face back. Remember, PS is permanent.

You mentioned you want to do your eyes, nose and cheeks. You mentioned you are disturbed by your chubby cheeks, and seriously, you can just go for Botox for that. You need not go to the extremes of cheekbone reduction.

And your nose and eyes looks fine to me.

I think you are abit too obsessed with your looks. Pardon me, but i am not someone who agrees with plastic surgery, especially when you are still so young! As people say face do change, and you are already pretty. What if people find out you got plastic surgery next time, and they will just say, you are pretty cos you are plastic? Nothing natural etc?

I think beauty is short term, it doesnt last forever. And you might always need to go back for nose corrections etc.

Honestly, i feel that you don't need to go to such extremes. You should learn to be contented with what you have.

Its sad that your parents gave you such a pretty face, and all you want now is to change it. Would you rather be known as a natural beauty? Or plastic face?

Anyway, I think an innocent, baby face isn't that bad. You will actually look very cute. Trust me, once you grow older, you will beg for that cute face again.

No offends girl, although i know you will still go ahead, but just to give my 2cents worth. I hope you are not just looking for encouragement and supporters in this thread.

    Hi Butterflykisses,

I understand what you're trying to say. And I will still go ahead with it because I've been thinking about it for years. You're right.

I don't think you can truely understand how it's like in my position.

You make it sound like it's a drastic change even though it's not. I'm just enhancing my features I love. I like the shape of my eyes and how they look but the excess skin and fat hide that. I look sleepy all the time. People comment on it all the time. It doesn't look good on pictures either and I'm self-conscious about it. And it only looks overdone when I try to open my eyes more.

Regarding my nose, I won't do it if I decide to undergo jaw reduction.

I feel I will look aesthetically pleasing if I take away a a little bit of my excess bone, fat and skin from my face because it disguises the features I like. I won't be cutting too much. I just want more balance. It's almost the same thing as dieting even though it's not natural.

You guys have only seen ONE picture. You may not see what I'm seeing. If I post my face from different angles, you'll see why I'm "obsessing" about it.

Seriously, overly chubby cheeks when I smile doesn't look good on my wide face and sleepy eyes. It just hides away everything.

    I'm just enhancing my face.

I'm sorry you feel that way about me and plastic surgery.

    Thanks for the input anyway.

You can take a year or two before you can do both surgeries.

Well, I'm not rich if that's what you think =) I've saved up a lot these last 2 years!

You do know that cheekbone surgery is the same as zygoma surgery? So you'll have to expect to save up atleast 4500USD + flight ticket + hotel + food (+ shooping).

Ok. Here are two pictures of me smiling/being happy. The first picture doesn't show that much of my cheek fat because I tried to restrain my smile. But the second shows a chubby and unflattering face *in the moment picture *, thanks to my boyfriend! =)

Cheekbone reduction will likely narrow your face but at the same time enhance your cheeks and make them look rounder. I really don't want that as I already have waaaay too chubby cheeks when I smile!

Agreed. I think you look above average, based on the few (even though blotted out) pics you have posted. I thought that your face is short and round when you describe it, but it is not short at all, more normal sized. Up to you. I didnt know you were planning on overhauling other parts of your face as well...anyway it's your life but in general many would think you are obsessed with beauty. But that is why I dont hang around people obsessed with artificial beauty. The kiasu feeling is addictive and leaves one empty and envying for more. At the end of the day it's a vicious cycle. There is a fine line between tasteful bits of surgery and knowing when to stop. Like Dawn Yang-she went overboard and her surgery is now obvious, which makes people stare at her wondering why she is so unnatural looking, (even if good looking from a distance). And her clone wannabes like caramelix- her eyelid cuts are like horrendous scars.

OK-thanks for bearing with me. Hope I didnt offend you. Will mind my own business from now on.

Anything artificial about my face will be my nose. My doctor will just put a natural-looking implant (no silicon like Dawn Yang, no tip refining etc. whatsoever. I want to keep my bulbous tip because I think it's cute). At first I considered getting Restylane in my nose that builds up a bridge and goes away after a year or so but it will be a waste of money to spend every year. Everything else, well, it's enhancement, like when you lose weight to show a slim figure. It's like my face has matured, everything stays the same.

I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm smoothing over on how extreme my surgery is. It's an extreme procedure, but it won't give extreme results. I already have nice features (eyes, nose) but I want to enhance them without makeup.

And omg, I looked at the blogs you mentioned and shuddered at the last one. Now, THAT's extreme =S I trust my surgeon though, I trust that he does a great job which he has a reputation for.

Hopefully my eyes will turn out great. Old people do this procedure. People who think their eyes are hanging and are puffy do it. I'm not going to shape my eyes rounder like most Asians do. Dr. Park is just going to burn the fat and cut some excessive skin which is already starting to hang over my eyelids and I'm only 21 =O

I don't think the pictures I'v put out have given you the whole picture I've been talking about on this thread. See me from every angle, 360 degress, you'll see what I mean. Like I've said before, people always comment on how sleepy I look even though I'm not. And if everything's is ok. Even my cousins say I have to open my eyes more because I look sleepy.

I also want to be taken seriously because it's hurting/slowing down my career! At what cost, most people say. Well, I trust that I've chosen the right surgeon. I trust my surgeon. I trust that my body my (face)will handle it. I've thought about it. Anything can happen, my heart can stop beating during operation, the results of my face can be horrendous etc. but it's all about doing extensive research and even more trust. The odds are high for anything bad to happen, but it's still there.

I don't mind your opinions about plastic surgery. Even though I still am going through with the procedures, I think it's great to hear about it from every angles. I want to hear it

How dissapointing! You can try BK DongYang Clinic. It's also in Seoul. But the surgeon has a reputation for bad post-op care and direct to the point-attitude. He gives excellents results though... His site address is http://eng.bkdy.co.kr. I think it costs 500 USD more. Good luck!
