try sleeping on ur tum or back

sleeping on ur sides for too long will give u prolonged pain
else try stretching exercise or go see a chiropractor

    hope u get well soon

Chiro treats your posture. But for your case, you may need to see a orthopedic 1st to confirm that there's no underlying problem such as cervical spondylosis etc. A orthopedic can then refer you to either physiotherapy or chiropractic.

It may not be that serious, could be a ligament inflammation or a muscle strain etc. But it is better to see a doctor, rule out what that is worst. Or in any case that it is something serious, at least you can detect and seek early treatment. Hope you'll be fine.

Sometimes its just stress! My ex-colleague had similar such pain before so we googled some research on it. Seems like stress is one of the possible cause. Like coffee said, seek help from a GP and see what he recommends.

    Take care!

    Thanks sweeties!!

Went to my family doc today coz im a little under the weather...
inflammed throat n feverish...n while i was there..i asked my doc about my aches...and she told me it's nothing serious ..not due to my sleeping habits but most likely coz of my posture when i use the comp....putting too much strain on my left n in the long run...
it accumulates to over-strained muscles...hmmm not sure how accurate....coz she didnt really check much...just asked me where the pain was....how long it has been n my lifestyle.....so that was her analysis n verdict....n hahahhh one thing for sure it is not due to stress for my case...coz im like bumming big time now...maybe too much of bumming can be stressful?? kekke

Tyerve: Great to hear that its nothing serious! Ermm... I think you can pretty much cancel out stress as a cause then.

Maybe you can try one of those medicated plasters if it bothers you too much. Short-term pain relief! The Tiger Balm brand's pretty good if you want to give it a try.

It is costly when such thing happens.
I went round to at least 7 different types of health care professionals (doctors to sinsehs to chiropractor to acupuncturist etc.) did CAT scan, when I had a pain-behind the knee that started to cause pain all over my body from the postural stress.

Many of the massage services out there aren't really meant for dealing with real conditions.

For muscular tension, alignment and posture, check out Charles Kise at Holland V.
    http://www.charleskise.com/ck/home.php

I'm going back to him and today's is my first session of the series.
It is costly at $120 for 1 to 1hr 15 min. But my muscoskeletal system is terribly warped up that I need to get it realigned. I wake up like a scrunched up ball and it hurts to stretch out of it.

secrets: hee..thanks...will run to the pharmacy later to get some!
right now im taking the muscle relaxant (no side effects) thats prescribed by my doc...it does work a little..

paphio: woah! that's really steep...hmmm but it's worth it...
since its hurting u so badly...
hope both of us will be able to get out of this soon! take care sweeties!
n do let us know how ur session goes ya?

I have this problem too. A bad recurring ache in my left shoulder where my shoulder blade is. Nearer the top part. It's probably left-over from my JC days when I tore one of the tendons or ligaments (cant remember which) on my left shoulder during training.

Now it acts up whenever I work for too long at the computer, or carry too heavy a bag. I tend to put up with it though. Maybe I should get it checked as well as it can ache quite badly at times.

    Default Stiff shoulder blades/ neck

    hi all
i have this constant problem of stiff shoulder blades/ neck..the muscles around that area are real stiff! when u press it u can feel its like a block of wood..

these would always lead me into headaches at least twist a month..saw a physiotherapist but problem was only solved temporary.

jamu body massages only lead me into further pain although it did loosen up my muscles.

is it worth to go for massage when they cause me headaches? or no? i suspect they exerted too much pressure..

is there any other way to loosen tension in that area? how about a hot water compress?
anyone has this problem too? thanks!!

I had that problem 2 years ago. I went for tui na & accupunture.
The doctor poked some needles & placed some glass cups on the affected areas with some infra red light. After a few mins, she removed some clot blood from the affected areas. My problem was solved since then.
