where is the doctor located? how much? just 1 session will do?
thanks!!
dewy, the best cheapest solution for this is to go for a workout. Any form of exercise will cure your stiff shoulders etc. Be it swimming, aerobics, jogging, tennis etc...
Trust me, last time used to have this problem too, i always ask my bf to massage for me. But after i joined aerobics and regular exercise, i don't have this problem anymore.
HthS!
hee the doctors told me to exercise too but i guess i am too lazy.
i try to do the simple stretching exercises at home recommend by the docs...![]()
Hi Dewy, I went for 3-4 sessions of treatment & each treatment cost around $40. It's in Clementi area. I believe there many reputable TCM doctors around, maybe u can try asking around.
If you need more details. pls let me know.
Sounds good, the acupunture thingy. Guess it's time I visit one soon. For headaches as wellI wonder if the Eu Yan Sang's doctors charge high?
Are your pains/stiffness work-related? I mean I hunch over the computer all day at work and at home. My posture isn't the greatest, ok it's bad, so my neck and upper back always ache.
Sometimes it's tension-related; when I am concentrating very hard, I get the aches especially bad.
My whole point is maybe you can find the root cause of the pains which may not be physical and tackle them instead?![]()
hi thanks all for the suggestions...meantime i try to do simple stretching exercise to see if it helps..
hi babelatte
yes! i need more details! i live in clementi too! which was the one u saw? which block?
theres 1 pretty good male doctor in ave 3 blk 431 i think..near clementi town sec sch. u heard of that physician before?
hi echo
yes i think mine is due to posture. so how did u tackle the problem?
Hi Dewy, the name of the clinic is Coral Chinese Medical Svc. It's located at blk 354 Ave 2 #01-169. Tel : 68733809. Do give them a call to check on Dr Coral Teng's consultation hrs before going & also whether the clinic still exist. I've not heard abt the central physician as I hardly visit them except for this sniff neck problem 2 yrs ago.
hrmm I think i second what Caramelgirl says, cos I used to be a frequent exerciser, but because major exams have been coming up I haven't been exercising for almost 3 months now.. and so I've been having terrible stiff and tight shoulders, especially on my right, maybe cos I've been doing lotsa writing.
so i say go get some exercise, cos I'm sure smooth blood circulation helps.
hope you get better soon!![]()
i injured myself in the back years ago, and sitting in front of the comp for ages doesnt help much.
i suffered headaches as a result of stiff muscles.
after visiting the physio here for a while, she basically taught me not to sleep on my tum cos it locked the neck. in fact sleeping on the side or on your back seems to be the best solution.
Some tips you can try
- getting up to stretch for a couple of mins after sitting in the comp
- bending exercises
- avoiding sitting in the same position for more than 30 - 45 mins
- yoga helps
going to an accupuncturist is good but i think it is a short term solution![]()
Hi Bebelatte, Can you give me the details of this place? Thanks ya!Originally posted by bebelatte
I had that problem 2 years ago. I went for tui na & accupunture.
The doctor poked some needles & placed some glass cups on the affected areas with some infra red light. After a few mins, she removed some clot blood from the affected areas. My problem was solved since then.![]()
