Hi! This is my recommendation:
Dr Lim Hong Meng from Mt Elizabeth Orthodontic clinic.. It's at mount elizabeth hospital, 7th floor.. very very i had my braces done by him.. his schedule are very very packed and he got lots and lots of patients and alot of others recommended by his patients.. really have to call early to book appointment.. and he's really very nice.. i really like him alot.. i mean his professionalism.. he got lots of foreign patients too.. coming from a lof of countries.. And it's at mt elizabeth hospital and its behind paragon so it's really very convenient. But his charges are slightly high.. it depends on what you wanna do.. i'm not too familiar with his charges.. but i had my braces done at $4000..

I would recommend Covenent Dental Surgery at Blk 154 Meiling st.
2 doctors there.. husband and wife. Dr Tham and Dr Soh. Dr Soh does braces together with general practice.
They are usually very packed though... u might wanna make an appointment up to 3 days before hand.

if it's wisdom tooth extraction, jemay had a very good doctor to recommend from alexander hospital? for normal dental checkup .. the one i go to is in bedok interchange, called apple dental clinic. i'm like a negative-tolerance for pain and this dentist is very gentle. i had my molar tooth extracted with *shudder* injection and i survived!!

Yup, i did my wisdom tooth surgery at Alexandra Hospital. IIRC is Dr Sylvia Tay. Root canal is Kenneth Low at Alexandra too.

Clementi Dental is good too but they are always busy, there have been there for 20 years, the place looks run down but very experienced old couple.

Dr Tan at Bright Smile in Tiong Bahru is very attentive. Just did cleansing n polishing there, love him!

Jemay, you had extraction of the wisdom tooth + root canal done together?!? or after a period of time? What's the damage to the wallet? ****, not only physical pain, heart also pain haha

Hmm..i;m not jemay... but i think wisdom tooth surgery takes about half hour.. while root canal takes an average 3 sessions, each sessions lasting an hour. .. so i don't think they can be done together?
Cost for wisdom tooth extraction if im not wrong can be deducted via medisave because it's a surgery. Might be easier for the pockets.

i thought deduction from medisave is available only for public hospital?

anyway, not all wisdom tooth extraction require surgery...
the dentist will take an x-ray first to analyse the severity of the problem..
mine wasnt too severe, so i only had to undergo LA.. and the dentist used "pliers" to extract out the tooth..
no sewing or cutting up was required..
pain factor was during the LA part..
i have super low tolerance level of pain.. so i was kinda torturous for me..
for one tooth, i paid $60 for consultation and $150 for extraction... total = $210

she's very gentle yet skilfull.
Had my 4 wisdom teeth extraction by her.
Not too much pain
