Any good dentist to recommend ?

I recommend Dr Philip Woo from 'The Dental Inn' at Punggol Plaza.

He is really gentle and after seeing him, I no longer have fears of going to dentists! His pricing is very reasonable as well! Did a good job in polishing and scaling, I paid around $50-$60. Have done a few fillings there too, only downside is super far from my house!

i used to go to this dentist located at the blocks opposite hougang plaza.

crazy booking i tell you but the dentist was really good. he even asked me to take a mirror and show me which spots that i should pay more attention when brushing my teeth.

hihi, i'm looking for a dentist to remove one of my wisdom tooth which is causing me much pain and infection.
it seems impacted. so probably need LA to numb the process of getting it out. but i'm scared of injection!!
i know of numbing gels, do most dentist have it?? i'm thinking of requesting for the numbing gel to be applied on the spot where injection is to be made.. so the injection will be less painful? ): lol anyone can advise on the place to goo extract my tooth? i stay in West side.

I have found Dentalplus Clinic 2 years ago through internet while searching for a good dentist to remove my wisdom tooth. What attract me is that wisdom tooth surgery can be paid by Medisave. As Dentalplus is a CPF Medisave accredited clinic, so most of the surgical charges can be deducted from your Medisave account.

I now doing my bracing N also my half-yearly scaling n polishing.

Their service is great woth friendly staff who smile when u enter d clinic. Price is reasonable too

I used to go to Dr Fong too! He's really gentle and very thorough! But they told me that he went back to Australia =(

And now I'm desperately looking for a new dentist in the town/west area because Toof Doctor at Tanjong Pagar is good but expensive...

I am looking for Dr Fong from Ong&Lim at Teck Whye and i chance upon this. And i am so surprise to see this thread talking about him. Quite impressive. A good doctor's name really remains in the hearts of his patients.

And good and not so expensive dentist around in the west?

I decided to for tooth implant instead of bridging.
Any cotters who been thru tooth implant can provide me more informations?
I called a couple of dental n their prices varies, some quote S$3.5 (exclude X-ray & consultation costs) and surprisingly the hospital charges are even higher than the private practice.

The most strange thing is about the Medisave. Different dental claim the amount differently, some said can used up to S$1.2K but the hospital mention up to $1000 only.

I need help!

I have been thinking of doing tooth implant for many years, but i'm so afraid of the pain. Moreover the charges are so expensive. Still in search of a reasonable rate, but i have called up so many clinics, the charges are about the same, not that much of a difference.

She's really so nice, super bedside manners!!!
I was like frozen with fear but she's so reassuring!

That's so unlike most of the other dentists I've been to in the past, usually very quiet & not so good.

Hi all...

Just wanna share about my exp at Sunshine Dental just now.

Havent been to a dentist for 6 years as I was really traumatized by experience in school and was being "forced" to go coz bits of my last molar came off.... I thought i clenched my teeth so hard that I crushed it!

After reading forums for 2 days, trying to find a reliable one, i decided on the above to receive my "death sentence"

Called in this morning (Monday) at 9.30am, was told that there's only one dentist on duty for the day and morning is full already. The clinic assistant asked if i was in pain and if 1pm is fine for me. ~ Very nice... I dun expect clinic assistant to check if i was in pain... they usually answer the phone, get appt fixed and thats it.

Arrived at the clinic, waited for about 15mins before being lead into the room.
~The assistant greeted me at the waiting area, smiling and checked if I'm ok. She then introduced me to Dr Chua, who was waiting at the "execution ground".

I was attended to by Dr Chua Yih Jia (her profile is on Sunshine Dental website)
~Petite lady, prob in her thirties Not much extra talking, just straight to the point.... I personally prefer this type....
She asked when was the last time I visited a dentist and when i answered her, she did not give any special reaction that made me feel uncomfortable Thank God!
This is the 1st time i see dentist holding a Nikkon DSLR paired with a Mac in a clinic.... She took photos of my teeth, showed me photos as well as kept for record... plus 2 Bitewing X-Ray (1 for each side to see the teeth at the back). Everything was digital, no x-ray flim....

I did one filling and have 3 more plus a wisdom tooth extraction to go. the whole process prob took slightly less than 30mins.
I would consider her gentle enough for me but this is quite subjective.
She didn't really talk while working on my tooth.... I like that too...
Her assistant is very competent... .very quick in getting things ready plus checking if Im ok...
