Try Colin Song at SGH. He's the head of liposuction team there I think. He specialises in this. He quoted me about 5k for both tummy and arms. This was like 6 years ago..hehe. I think prices should have dropped due to competition.

    Heard good reviews about him.

Hi gals, my friend had quite a good experience with this Prof Ivor J. Lim. That's how I heard of him...Besides specialising in plastic, he also do hand surgeries, aesthetic non invasive procedures. He also teaches at university and stuff, hence he is awarded the title professor from what I was told. I think what's more important is that he is pretty warm, friendly and caring which puts my friend totally at ease with him...another plus point, his prices are very very reasonable for a specialist!

Thailand : Cheap surgery yet safe
Spore : Not too bad surgeons available too
    Korea : High-technologies use
Japan : Same as korea [ from ayumi, you'll know ]
    China : Cheap but dangerous

please don't ask me about charges, i really don't know. prices depend on case-by-case basis eg a big mole vs a very small one which is why the surgeon can only advise price of surgery AFTER a consultation. Average consulatation price is $70 - $90.

surgeons will not operate on anyone until after consultation anyway. HTH

my friend is doing very well. her mole was big and very deep but so far no scar can be seen.

as for surgery overseas, i will never do it. how are you going to go for follow-up sessions etc and god-forbid corrective surgery if there's a little tweaking to be done? when it comes to surgery, go for the best you can afford HERE.

ETA: for eye bag removal it's extremely important to look for a good surgeon because if the surgeon takes out too much fat...you end up with hollows under the eyes and will look like a skeleton head!

Default A penny of my thoughts

Hey gals, I personally think it's always good to get a second opinion for something you need to fork out so much for and more importantly going under the knife for your body, but yet it's quite ridiculous to pay exorbitant prices and not get a good job in the end. Most of the more hype-up surgeons are getting so much patients that they don't spend adequate time and effort on each of them anymore and it's just not acceptable...So i think only after doing a consult, will you know how comfortable you are with the doctor and how attentive or his approach is...Alot of people based their judgement on how famous the surgeon is, but there are a few out there who are equally if not more qualified and who is dilligently caring for each patient without claiming all that credit...It's also through this forum that we actually get to know more about some good and not so good experiences that others had..so hope everyone will actually end up with some really good experience to share...

I see my mum now, I think I'll need lower blepharoplasty someday too.

I am having bags already although it's not as serious like my mum. As you age, your skin sags, it'll get worse. I'm not sure if I choose to get it done now will i still get bags as I age? What's the right age for such surgery?

All I know is for a tummy tuck surgery, one should not consider to get pregnant again if undertake such surgery.
Am just wondering what is the right age for what type of plastic/reconstruction surgery....?

anyone here had rhinoplasty before? pls share your experiences!
ITA with propagandaz that the more popular surgeons may not be doing the best jobs simply because they do not have the time to attend to so many patients. And I agree because a doctor told me so himself.

Eyebags are due to excessive fat deposits..if you already have that problem now, of course you will want to get rid of them right away...as with liposuction, if you take away the fat and continue with the usual eating habits and no maintenance to upkeep it, the fat will accumulate again. But the fat around the eye area will take a long long time to accumulate back as compared to fat in the body..so it should probably be a 1 time surgery if you do not put on weight excessively..
