i read from cleo mag that every night before you sleep, taking 2 tsp of honey will make u slim down. anybody tried it before?
aug issue of cleo? i didnt see the article
anyone tried b4? if its true, i cant wait to try!
didnt read about the slimming effect but read in some publications that having honey or sweetened drinks before sleep may cause tooth decay .. so girls, if you are intending to give this a try, remember to brush or at least rinse yr mouth![]()
anyone tried? how does that happen? i always thought that sugar is no good if one wants to lose weight. is it plain honey or manuka honey?
i'm not too sure of which month it was published. But definitely a few months back. I remembered because I borrow it from my friend to read not just recently.
The article only stated honey. i think any honey will do? I'm not too sure about the slimming effect though. But taking honey is definitely good for throat and skins? So anybody tried it? I hasn't try it though.
And yes, rinse your mouth to avoid tooth decay.
I supposed they are talking about pure honey? Not those artificial one whereby the sugar content is high and they still add more sugar to enhance the taste?
i did hear a fren saying takin ACTIVE MANUKA HONEY AS MEAL REPLACEMENT AND CLEANSING helps slimming.. but never hear take it before sleep can help though... and.. taking honey atnight may make u alert sue to the sugar content isn't it????? hmmm...
Might be having other useful effects due to the active ingredients in the honey? Got to dig out that magazine to trace back the actual correct infomations. But nobody read Cleo magazine and happen to see this article?
By the way, would you like to elaborate more on how does taking manuka honey help to replace a proper meal? Maybe I would like to try it out![]()

hibernation diet requires you to eat normal healty meals..
and have 2 tsp of honey every night in any form..
okie. the following is extracted from her world aug 2006 issue page 109
rules
1) lean meat like chicken is a great source of protein. eat it 3 to 4 times a week. if you are a vegetarian, make sure u get plenty of protein alternatives like soya.
2) fish is another great protein food. its either very lowu in fat or if its oily fish, has "good" fats. oily fish include mackerel, tuna, trout, and salmon. the rest are white fish like cod, plaice, sole and bass. eat it several times a week, grilled or poached.
3) carbs are a must for energy. eat bread and pasta (but look for wholemeal varieties, not the over refined white stuff) balanced with lots of fruit and vege.
4) snacks like nuts, seeds, dried fruit and marmite on wholemeal crispbread should fill you up and stop u snacking on anything that contain white sugar, which u should try to avoid.
5) water is every dieter's best friend. 2 litres a day, not including tea and coffee will set you right.
6) eggs and organic cheese provide protein and minerals, but dont overdo it as they are quite fattening.
