I know in Singapore you can get cranberry supplements from pharmacies, off the shelves. Quite a few brands available

Are white cranberries equally high in sugar content? Will it help ease UTI? What's the difference, actually? Sorry if it's OT.

checking whether anyone else had the same experience with me...
i have never had yeast infection before..
but recently i started developing itch and stuff..
and so far, it occurs only when i use the oto trimax..
i tried the oto trimax on and off to determine if it was really the cause..
and concluded that i got it only when i use the oto trimax..
i have stopped using the oto trimax for 3 months already..
and the itch never came back too..

    hey such a coincidence!

i was about to ask does wearing g-string give rises to yeast infection? on 1 occasioni had it after wearing g string. and also yesterday, i wore g -string and the day before i used the oto trimax...

last time when i used it there wasnt a problem, but come to think of it my became more recurrent after i bought my trimax.

sheez...my female doc will only be back next week, i thinking of going to the pharmacy to buy the pessary to insert. i insert one before say about 2 months ago..does anyone here also self medicate by buying the pessary to insert?

i did not do that u-know-it thing, diet all the same...just tt i wore g-string. grr

Wearing thongs does seem to attract a higher chance of infection.. the panty should fit comfortable yet not so loose it slides back and forth --> hence the lower chance of bacteria transfer.

    http://forums.cozycot.com/showthread...ria#post348148

I'm so comfy in thongs I can't seem to wear boyshorts even (sometimes). I don't get high incidence of thrush. My problem is a monthly one

hi cotters, i need help.. hope u can suggest some things..
i've read the posts from u all but still wanna double confirm. abit confused..

i've UTI n yeast infection before. a couple of times infact...
i've seen a female doc n she gave me oral cream, pills, antibiotics, almost everything.. but it still does not help. sometimes it clears up awhile but it keep coming backs..
i encounter itchness, fishy odours, milky discharge(sometimes yellowish) n sharp pain someyimes...
i've been going back to the doc so often making me very 'pai seh'..

she told me to avoid eating any sweet things drinks lots of water, to avoid using pantyliners n not to wear tight clothings. i've done all (except the 1 on pantyliner,as there's discharge which is awful,i cant not use it.) but dunno y it seems to love coming back. sticking to me like hell.
i've tried using vaginal wash(every now n then) but it only works when i use it.

btw, i do not hav sex often(if u girls r wondering...) so i really dunno the reasons..
oh 1 last thing, saw that some of u recommend cranberry juice/products. can tell me where to get 1 which is good but not too expensive. coz i spent a lot on this porblem...
thanx alot.. i really need ..

slacker ivy, i think why the doc ask you to avoid pantyliner is because you already have an existing discharge problem, so by having the pantyliner on, that area is not well ventilated. So it might aggravate the problem.

Maybe if this doc won't work , try getting a 2nd opinion from another doc might help too.

shan: actually this doc is the 2nd one. the 1st one is a male n quite embarassing to c him with this problem..

jess: ya. that's what the doc told me. but if nv put pantyliner it's even worse. so i tried changing it more often...

anyway, both of u for the opinon... do anyone know where to get cranberry products? not to expensive..

why don't you try consulting an doctor? Seems this doc's medication isnt working for you..Did she do any urinary test for you to confirm its UTI?? I used to have UTI often, its very unbearable and disturbing..Its much better now, everytime, when the UTI comes back, i will drink plenty of water to flush out, keep on going to the toilet and drink lots and lots of cranberry juice!! If your UTI persists for so long, better consult a specialist so they can run more tests for you and find a solution for you..maybe change another medication or what.

anythin, oh..maybe too dry? u did go see gynae or reliable doc in the end?
which brand of femine wash u brought ? i brought summer eve before and didnt work for me.
then the gynae gave me this femine wash ( cyteal) and i used it.. together with a cream he perscribe to me and okay already.
i now go and buy cyteal femine wash from guardian directly..
