if want to try meal replacement, herbalife and positrim are the recommended ones. i tried both before. sad to say, i dont really like herbalife... because of the texture ( very thick) and abit hard to mix with drink ( have to stirr quick and throughly otherwise will get clumps in the drink) .. however the taste smell good
i tried positrim before herbalife.the texture is not really very thick, pretty fine and well mixed with drinks even its cold. i did lost weight! and i am tempted to go back to drink again. wait till my pocket is heal now.. anyone interested in positrim, can pm me... i can provide u some more information.
i got it at 50plus for 14 packet ( 2weeks supply if u replace 1 meal).
blurblur25, if u are really determine to lose weight, can take both at the same time. i sure the effect will be good....i tried for a short while (around 2 weeks) with positrim and i did lost weight..lol... but stop taking because of my school work and also pocket got big big hole during my study last year..heee
i am looking at losing 5kg now! hope i can succeed..but abit hard.. because i dont have really that great determination!![]()
got it fr my neighbour..she recom to me 1.only @43bucks..mine is almond taste..when u drink it taste like vanilla..so quite niceOriginally Posted by phyllis
laura_yaya..i'm also hoping to lose 5kg..so thinking of trying out herbalife..but my main concern is whether i'll put the weight back on if i stop taking the supplement..can't bear to think abt that!
MisSemLO..after taking the meal replacement drink, did u manage to lose some weight?? i'm the sort who will still snack even when i'm full.. so will it help?? sigh.. i would consider myself having mostly 2 full meals per day and snacks in between.. even after every full meal..i'll be very happy if i'm unable to lose just 5kg..any more than that i would be way underweight i think..45kg is my ideal weight..wonder if can achieve..![]()
jus wanna share my experience..
i tried herbalife b4, and i started with the $300 plus program. and it last me for about half month for the shake, and 1 month for the pill. so which means u got to but another bottle of shake powder on top of the $300+ which u already paid. and a bottle of the shake is about $60 bucks (i dono got increase anot).]
well, the results.. yah! i did have some results for me.. i took the products for 2 months.. and i lose about 2-3kg.. well.. i believe that the products works! but its too expensive for long ran..
the distributor told me that i got to take the products for at least 6 - 9 months. in order for the results to maintain.. so, i stop, because its a fact that i cant take the product or the rest of my life..
imagine 1 month $350.. half year $2100.. by using this money i can join the expensive gym for 2 years..
so.. its all up to u.. if u have some spare money.. maybe u can give it a try. it will works, definitely! But of course u must have displine!..
well, just sharing.. thanks!
Seems that quite a few would like to try meal replacement.
Just to share my view. I would recommend Positrim as laura_yaya said. The taste is nice and not too thick. You can mix it with skin milk or soy bean drink or just plain water. Don't need hot water at all which is good as hot water will kill the vitamins in Positrim, hence making your weight lost effort not good. Moreover, it's only about $3.70 per meal and you will already have all the nutrients which is good for your body.![]()
It's important still to eat moderate amount of carbo for energy and protein to prevent water retention. Drink plenty of water, at least 2 litres, of flush out toxins and waste. It will aid in weight lost as well.![]()
i did lose weight..abt 2kg..other than that i try not to take too oily stuffsOriginally Posted by phyllis
There is a new product call S-Factor...
You can find more infomation about this product from this link:
http://www.lfi.com.sg/products_health.htm#sfactor
it's selling at $100 for a month's supply... I think it's quite good cos S-Factor plus is a 100% organic superfood which does not contain any dairy, wheat, corn, artificial color, artificial flavors, synthetic chemicals, preservatives, MSG, lactose, sucrose, fructose, dextrose, egg, cholesterol, yeast, or added salt. (haha, I copied and paste from the website...)
i think that any other slimming products will make u bounce back to your old weight after u stop IF u start to feast suddenly and stil continue to eat like before. main thing is our own discipline.
why meal replacement works in my view is it still fills up our tummy, but with lower calories and with the required amount of nutrients and vitamins, it let us slim down healthly unlike those pills that we take from doctors to let us curb hunger. my friend took that.. not cheap too, but she lost alot of weight! she is discipline to eat nutritious food and fruits. and after she stop the pills she continue to eat moderately and she made it! however, another friend who took the same pills from doctor experience nausea and ate more! so i think depend on individual body too..
for herbalife, i was quite resistive initially, but after hearing the testimonies from friends and mum and neighbours, i started it.. seen how much my neighbour lost and her friends (man got one guy who feature change till custom has to stop him everytime to ask if he is using someone else passport!!) and those with history of gastric also recovered (though my neighbour claim that it is the product that helps, i agree partly, but mainly i think it is because those people who take it will give themself a discipline to 'eat" or drink the shake at the right time so gastric got no chance to attack)
it is expensive.. so i will really replace the meal with the shake (so that i will not incur extra cos ton food eeach day! ) so overall, still the same for me..
$60 plus is the retail price for non members, if u like i can get cheaper for u guys..
phyllis, if you start to go into weight management programmes, you need to have some discipline that make you stay safe under the exposure of unhealthy/ harmful food ( u know what i mean right?) hee... my advise is still combining the meal replacement scheme with exercise.
if you stop taking it, the weight will surely bounce back sooner or later.
for me,i didnt take up those weight management programme.. but only buy their meal replacement powder and a can of soya bean powder ( was told that people like me with gastric problem to take it together) . mix with it.. nice! but too expensive to buy 2 things together for me.
as for herbalife, i now remembered my SO cousin taking it. it very effective on him. last time he is very fat, now he has all slim down ( his mum is selling herbalife ,so let his son be the model for herbalife )...i believe he is taking a programme and not like me, take meal replacement powder is find enough for me...
when taking the meal replacement, need to be discipline.. as you might or most probably get hungry after few hours... must really have the determination to prevent snacking .... i havent get back onto the meal replacement yet.. still waiting for my pocket to heal.. once healed, i will go back again!
meanwhile, i am going for my aerobics regularly

and i do not agree that after we reach a desired weight, we should take full set to maintain.. for what i know, we only need a few products to maintain, ie, do not have to take total control anymore..
