is the Chinese medical halls' rose tea different from the more expensive version? as in taste varies? i heard the more expensive ones have a nicer taste.. more aroma..
The differences is from the country of origin for the rose tea bud. Different rose tea bud produced from different country will have a different aroma too. I bought from Chinese Hall before, its cheaper than those organic western types. Personally i prefer the organic western type coz' its lighter yet have better aroma.
There's a big difference! Like juniper berry pointed out, it depends on where the rose buds come from.
I used to get mine from Cold Storage (some organic brand, can't remember the name right now) and the fragrance is really nice. Recently, I saw a Chinese medicinal hall selling a packet for $2, so I thought I'd just give it a go. The moment I opened the packet at home, I regretted it immediately - the roses had a funny, weird smell. I popped one into hot water and it smelt even worse - didn't dare to drink it. I threw everything away in the end. The shopkeeper mentioned that the roses were from China, so I suspected that it had pesticides and stuff.
Will only get organically grown roses from now on.
Does any supermarket Brand sell Rosebud Tea?

anyone bought from here b4?
Has anyone bought tea from TWG at Ion Orchard? they sell it at $35 per tin, and they come in many "flavours". the packaging is so nice, but the price is quite steep. I had a one-for-one coupon thus I got 2 tins at $35 (both green tea flovours).
The sakura tea has a light flowery scent but the aroma comes through more when it's slightly cooled.
Have yet to try the 2nd tin.
i like the Moroccan Mint Tea. very fragrant and it is strong.
anyone knows where are the branches for Tea Pal? used to be one at basement of plaza singapura but I went there on sunday, it's no longer there!
