Depression is an extremely complex disease. It occurs for a variety of reasons. Some people experience depression during a serious medical illness. Others may have depression with life changes such as a move or the death of a loved one. Still others have a family history of depression. Those who do may experience depression and feel overwhelmed with sadness and loneliness for no known reason.

My friend keeps throwing temper at people for no reason at all. Is this supposed to be a sign of depression too? This guy that she likes rejected her and so she's kindof out of love, all along her love life wasn't smooth at all. So she always think that she has no love, and so she wants other people to be unhappy too. She never likes to see people living a happy life, she likes to make people life miserable, to the extend that now she doesn't have much friends, maybe only two girl friends in her life. I find her so pitiful.
yep, that could be form of depression, but hard to say. Maybe refer her to a specialist and go along with her a friend.
I wld think the best solution is to see a counsellor / psychotherapist, who can lead u to solutions from a professional standpoint.
However, to help alleviate anxiety n panic attacks, which are some of the symptoms of depression, u may wish to try this music therapy app, which guides you step by step to relax and let go of your worries. it also helps u to sleep better at night, esp if you try it just before bedtime. The app is actually developed by a professional psychotherapist.
