Can anyone enlight me on how do I go about arranging for a appointment at the polyclinic? Just walk in or I have to call and make a appointment?
Also, what is your bill size for surgery cost in public hospital?
affairoftheart: u can just walk in or made an appointment. can also request for female docs too & they'll hv follow up letters to do scannings at KKregarding bout surgery costs, hv to ask the GP. HTH

I had my surgery done at SGH a few years back, it's not more than $1,500/-, After govt grant, I paid less than $500/- for day surgery thru my medisave.
My Sis-in-law paid about the same amount for surgery at KTPH about 3 months ago.
The waiting time at SGH is longer, it is always very crowded, I just went for my consultation on 24/12/10 and an US scan yesterday.
Both appointment booked by myself as I'm a 'regular' outpatient.
Thru polyclinic booking, I had to wait at least 2 months.
I found a lump in my right breast (towards the armpit) and it was very sore. I booked into the doc's and they had a good feel and said it was probably just a cyst. This was 6 months ago. I still have the occasional few days where my breast would ache (could not feel the lump), then the ache would disappear. I am going back to the doc's soon and see what happens.
If you have any worries, go and see a doctor and hopefully any questions or worries will be answered.
): i'm 22 this year. and been having pain in my left breast near the pits area. Seen a doctor a few times. she thought it felt like a muscle knot. but today i visited her again, and she say she can feel a few vague masses there. i was so worried and scared after hearing that. but she assured me that cancer is very unlikely. but i could go for ultrasound scan to monitor it to know better. My appt is scheduled tomorrow morning. wonder how long it will take for the results to come back to the clinic. i know the possibility of cancer is low, but i can't feeling scared....
It's good to do regular BSEs. I saw a funny video about why it's important to look after your breasts' health, check it out here: Dell Singapore | Facebook![]()
Sometime back, I had a US done at Mt A. During the scan, the dr discover a 7mm solid lesion and advised me to go for mammotome biopsy. No other options were provided until I checked with the dr. She then told me if I dont go for mammotome I could go back for a check at a later date to monitor the situation. I am confused and not too sure if I should for the mammotome biopsy or should I wait. Any advice?
