thanks fluffy17, i went to chester yesterday and he did such a wonderful cut and color for me and he really listens to me and give very credible suggestions unlike most of the other salons i went to and i wake upp this morning feeling so beautiful. thanks fluffy for the great recommendation.

being a picky consumer i must confess and i badly need a cut and was thinking of a perm i went to hair philosophy @tanjong pagar as it is near my work place and i must say the place is classy, comfortable and chester who is the director really gave me tonnes of sugguestions before snipping any part of my hair and im was so comfortable with him i decided to do my perm too and the result looks great soft korean curls which i wanted and not like auntie cos im very scared permng will add age to me! the result is really very young which i badly needed at least thats what my boyfriend told me

@ picky ann you are on their fb? btw i learned that from their fb partial of their earnings goes to adopting children from worldvision which i thought was really nice of them and not like some other salon just focusing on squeezing the customer dry! Glad you like the final result phew and they also send me very insipiring videos about life too...check out their fb but u have like it to receive and their posting really perk my day up!

My collegues keen teasing i look like some korean hot babe now and my bf suddenly is nicer to me too i dono if it is the hair that really change my whole feel and yesterday for the FIRST time in my life i was at orchard cineleisure waiting for my bf and a very good looking guy walk up to me to ask if he can add me on his fb i felt so embarressed.....of cos no la but it felt good esp im over 30 and the guy looks mid 20s at most

now even my bf feels abit insecure.........serve him right for me seeing the beautiful side of me hahaha

After reading the thread i decided to give Hair Philosophy a try last night. its on the 2nd floor and i missed the entrance to the salon a few times but when i finally found it i climbed a flight of stairs and to my surprise the salon is so spacious looking and not messy.

i wanted something short and fashionable chester took out tonnes of magazines and go through the possibilty with me one by one before advising what style is suitable for me. though not cheap for a haircut but i am very pleased and this truly reflect you pay what get what. i guess this is a small price to pay for beauty but i walk out of his salon so light headed i almost fell down the stairs i think i am too happy to have found him and singapore should have more professional stylist like him and he is a true blue singaporean ........most of the other previous salon i went to the stylists are malaysian

to be honest im still aabit skeptical and scared of going to a salon after my last salon ruined my hair completely ....Jean Yip was my last salon btw.

i decided to give Hair Philosophy a try and honestly Chester did such a good job in restoring my hair

he was patient and all though i just walk in to see what he he can do for me but he explain it so well and he don rush to answer my questions you can tell he think through how to help me which i really appreciate and i left even after the consultation cos i was rushing for time and just want to hear what he can do. He was patient and advised me i can make an appointment anytime which i did this morning!

he really SAVED my hair for monday if not i dono how to go to work on monday and i was his first customer today after 2 long hours of trying to cut away all my spoilt rebonded hair strand by strand and i got a new look which im so HAPPY with........ as least i can go to work on monday without leting people know about the diasater hair Jean Yip did for me!!!!

I just got my hair rebonded at Hair Philosophy and i absolutely love the results and i got thick coarse and wired hair and many a times no salons can help me with it and my hair is dry too i know i its terrible after reading this thread i decided to give it a try though abit out of way for me cos i live in AMK but i still made a appointment and went down hopefully this will be the salon that can do something to help me.

i was given a treatment first about 15 mins prior to the rebonding as chester advise that treatment is impt prior to rebonding and after that i did my rebonding with him im so pleased with the result and he never tries to push to sell me anything which is new to me and advise i should always blow dry my hair instead of letting it dripping wet or natural dry cos he said if hair is moist oxidation will happen and hair will look more dry( i always thot the opp) strangely anyway I am going to dry my hair completely everytime after i was my hair.

I am so not going to let any other stylists touch my hair besides Chester from today onwards but the downside is because it is not in a shopping mall i cannot go buy clothes immediately or go shopping and have to drive to town again and i went Uniqlo they having a sale and bought new clothes to match my new hair

wow i dono if it is becos of this thread but i wanted to bring my bf for a cut @ hair philosophy but hard to get Chester for appointment le but in any case we still managed to book a slot even though i called last min as my bf and i were thinking of going to maxwell market to eat last sunday. we waited for about 8 mins sometime i wish got shopping around so i can go walk around but anyway save money for our wedding la. hehehe

my bf have very thin hair and everytime he will just go to QB cut and come back looking worst than ever and i managed to persuade him to try chester at least before our wedding shoot and indeed he looks so much better now with the new hair cut.

Never ever will i allow him to go QB cut !

I went to hair Philosophy last night to finally do my hair and i really enjoyed my hair wash there because I have very sensitive scalp and if the salon uses cheap shampoo i will react immediately like redness and itchiness but I am so glad they used Redken on me and told me sometimes they also uses Goldwell and I had a great wash by eileen think was chester's assistance and i feel so comfortable with the place and her.

then comes the cutting part i really do not know what to do with my hair and i wanted a new look and Chester suggested my face shape i can take bangs which i never tried before which makes me scared but he listens intently to my request and finally i feel so comfortable with him i told just do what u need to do. I really love the results and i was told bangs is coming back huge! Chester took time to understand my lifestyle and need which I really appreciate and now l love my hair

thanks to this thread i found a stylist that i feel i will be stuck with for a long time and will post my picture tonight after i get home from work!

been trying to find a stylist for the longest time and one of my friend recommended to come to cozycot to search for one credible stylist and @ first I told her cozy cot is only good for women stuff and nonetheless i still tried and see what i can find.

found this thread and was struggling between Hair Philosophy and Papilo but i decided to go Hair Philosophy last night to find Chester for a cut.

the place is clean line and very spacious indeed and i really love my new sporty hair cut with and edge btw I am a guy

wonder is Chester knows about this recommendation from me maybe he will give me a discount next time hahahaha

After reading this thread i went ahead to book an appointment with hair philosphy but the timing i wanted Chester was busy so i was attended by eileen another stylist. She is really good with peek- a -boo kind of coloring which i wanted and really like the new hair cut she did for me over the weekend. It was easy to maintain and the color is very virbant which i wanted. She is also not pushy and realy took time to advise on what is suitable for my face shape and explain all the possibility instead of just taking things into their own hands like my previous salon. worth the money and the effort to go all the way down to tanjong pagar to find them.

been about 2 week since i last did my hair and treatment @ Hair philosophy and the result is still very lasting and im going to book another appointment to trim my hair with chester this weekend. and bring my boyfriend with me for sure for a cut too
