I looged in today to share the lasting hair cut i had with chester about 3 weeks ago. been 3 weeks now and usually my hair would be unmanagebable by now but it seems like the hair is more tammed even though i did not do any treatment at the salon and still easy to style without much pain in the morning.
Going to do treatment at the salon this weekend cos my ends looks dry now. and i have a wedding to attend this sunday
***** just me but i feel almost every month someone is getting married!!!!!!!
went to do my first perm in my entire life yesterday @ Hair Philosophy as i always like the Japanese looking big curls and i am very happy with the result of the perm initially i wanted to do perm and color but i was advise by chester to not do 2 chemical at the same time as my hair is really dry and brittle.
most salons i went to are eager o ask me to do this and that but strangely chester said i should let my hair "rest"' first before color so i just did the perm only and later he told he because my hair is very damaged so not advisibale to do 2 chemical service at a go.
strangely after the perm my hair looks abit lighter in color and thus i saved money on color hahaha and my hair texture feels softer too but in any case i booked another appointment for highlight in 2 weeks time and so happy with my big boucey curls for now and will update the forum after i done my highlight
I worked in CBD and has been struggling to find a good hair dresser for the longest time, yesterday after work i decided to give Hair Philosophy a shot. I was expecting some shabby and crowded salon but to my surprise the salon is real understated. I got abit scared too cos normally the salon i went to are super crowded and i asked Chester who did my hair where is everyone then i realised when someone make an appointment with the salon they will try to respect the timing and not ask customers to wait or not be given the full attention.
What really surprises me was the fact that Hair Philosophy from what i heard from Chester who is the director there told me they actually uses part of their profit to adopt children from Worldvision and i feel this charitable aspect of the salon is really admirable. sorry that i have this stupid link that a caring salon willl be caring to me needs and not get impatient with me. true enough Chester took time to advise me on what looks is feasible for my faceshape and lifestyle and every snip he actually confirm and double confirm with me.
when i was about to leave the salon i am really pleased with the hair cut and color done by him and he did not push me to buy anything untill i asked him for his recommendation for shampoo for colored hair and he took out 2 brands one is redken and another is goldwell and explain to me the different of the 2 colored shampoo patiently. but in the end i still did not buy any shampoo from him as i suddenly remember i still have alot at home and he advised me to finished those color shampoo at home as there is expiry date.
never will i wan to go those crowded and over price salon in town anymore sometimes we consumers feel that brand name of the salon is important but i feel the individual services by these understated salons are even more important
after following my husband to sg 3 months ago i have a hard time finding a good hairdresser that is good with caucasian hair and after reading this thread i decided to pay chester a visit last weekend and i must say i am really impressed with the way he handled my blonde hair and did a color gloss with him after covering my grey hair ..love the results

Hello are you from the Caucasus region? I don't know of any ang.moh who would readily label themselves "caucasian". That's more a locally given label.
Your English sounds totally local too btw.
This thread seems to get replies only from new cotters with very few posts....
victoriasmith Please do not PM me, i do not check back often. Thanks.
Unfortunately, stylistic differences across regional English is very much ingrained. So much so that even those who make a career out of the language (journalists, writers etc) would have some difficulty adjusting. Perhaps you should run a spell + grammar check on your posts next time to sound more convincing. Oh and make sure it is UK English, not US, if you want to say you are from London.
I would urge cotters to be wary of shills in this forum.
Shill - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shilling is non-disclosure. It is dishonest, underhanded and sneaky. And it reflects badly on the establishment that chooses to use such means. It destroys credibility and trust. As a (potential) customer i would be most concerned what else they are not honest with me about.![]()
