Default First time at salon vim

Hi all, I visited salon vim after reading Beatrice's blog.I have been on the search for a good stylist to cut bangs since my 8yr stylist left for Sabah early this year.

I was a little apprehensive reading bonito's blog and took me awhile to decide to try salon vim, and eventually decided in Gary. But I had no idea he was the boss or director of salon vim. When I first sat down in the salon, he came over and asked me what I wanted to do with my hair, I replied:'cut bangs and what else should I do with my hair?' he then continued to do a detailed analysis for my hair which really convinced and wow me over. Because my previous experience with stylists (after my stylist left), they don't really give me a detailed analysis of my face shape and what should be done to my hair.

Going back to the hair analysis, gary said I have to flatten the top and sides of my head, while giving the ends some volume cause I have a long face. And he also added that if I want to cut bangs, u have to start it high because I have short forehead.

He suggested that I get some curls at the ends, but I voiced out my concerns that I am fearful of getting perm. (I had done perming once with my 8yr stylist, he made it real loose, non-lasting kind. But it wasn't what I wanted.) I explained to Gary that I only want one curl at the end of my hair, he said it can be done. I was in doubt but went ahead to do it totally on impulse and I needed a new hairstyle. I had hair-malfunction for half a year!

Waiting for the results for two hours was kinda freaky. When the lady removed the rolling stuff from my hair, it was very curly!! I was in a shock and asked her if my hair would turn out curly like hers(she had curls on her hair too!) she said it won't as hers is done by curling tongs or some equipment daily. When I Gary came over rot check on my hair, I asked him if it's gonna be curly like what I see when my hair is wet. He rest assured me that he knows what I want and it definitely won't be.

He also did rebonding for my fringe and it sure doesn't look flat like helmet! Awesome max!

True enough, fast track to two days later, which is now. My hair is in an awesome state even though didn't blow dry it! It really only has ONE curl at the end of my hair! I love my hair to max and I am definitely going back again.

Disclaimer: i am not doing any advert for salon vim or Gary in this instance. I am just a commoner who is sharing because I have finally found someone reliable to do my hair.
