Default Yun Nam Hair Care (YNHC))

Have did a search for this title but couldn't find any, hence start a new thread.
Mod: Please do the needful should this is a repeated thread

Basically, just want to share my experiences at YNHC with all the cotters.
Went to their branch at PS 2 weeks ago due to my dandruff problem; been waiting for almost 30mins to get their "free consultation" even though I have made an appointment prior visiting them.

Then, a consultant came in and did an analysis for my scalp. It is terrible I knew, and she suggested me to undergo at least 20-30 treatments for only dandruff problem. I did not give any answer since I have not tried their treatment before. Soon after, they brought me to their salon, and did a trial for me.

To be frank, the result was awesome, I can see from the screen that my scalp was 90% cleanse with dandruff free.

The consultant then explained their packages price to me. Gosh, it is $250 per treatment and if you are taking their package (for 10 treatments), it would be $1.6k. I didn't expect it to be so pricey, I thought the most $1k =\ (ok I am stupid).

I told the consultant that I need time to consider whether to take this package or not since it is not a small sum of money. Her face turned "black" immediately and said "Huh? Consider? Your scalp problem is very serious lia0 ler, you still want to consider??" Ehh of course I know my dandruff very jialat lia0, otherwise I won't even bother to step in and prepared to pay for the package l0r. Moreover, I didn't say I don't want, just that I need time to consider ma..

Subsequently, she started to hard sell. Its really HARD sell l0r, the tone of speaking wasn't that nice. I told her my boyfriend is paying for the treatment, hence I need to talk to him first. Guess what she said? "Huh? If he said don't want, you really don't want mehh?? It is your scalp lerr xiaojie!!" Waraos I really don't know why she got so agitated, $1.6k is not a small sum ler especially times are so bad now.

End up I got psycho-ed by her and paid $1.6k + $33 (for shampoo and tonic) + 7% GST for 10 treatments.

Last week when I visit them again for my second treatment, they tried to psycho me again to take another 10 or even 20 treatments! I got so pissed off seriously, 'cos they spent more than 45mins to persuade me even though I have told them I got no extra money for any other treatments. In addition, isn't it too fast to decide if I shall take more treatments since it was only my second visit? And the worst part is, they asked me to go into a small room when I was having my treatment!!

Below are the "promotions" given to me, in order to sign for more treatments:-

    1. $300 off for my next 10 or 20 treatments, which is not supposed to be given to customers who have visit them before.

    2. At least 5 bottles of ampoules will be given ONLY to me, as a special gift if I were to sign for another package.

    3. I am given exceptional right to share my 10 treatments with my friend who is having other hair problem.

Sounds too good, and I knew it is just their tactics, who knows they are saying the same thing to other customers as well?

I insisted my stand this time by giving them a firm NO. They then offered me another 2 options:-

    1. "If you cannot afford, you can pay 50% of the total cost first, and we will hold the package for you till you are financially stable". <-- I told them I don't like to owe money, hence NO.

    2. "Ok lar, to help you in this, you are given a special promotion now. Just pay us $200 deposit for us to hold the package for you; and if you decide not to follow any course with us, we will give you $200 worth of our hair products + free ampoule. We have done our best lia0, the promotion until the end of April only ler, really very worth it, must act fast while it is still available" <-- I told them if I really want to continue my treatment with you, I will not care about all the free gifts. Therefore, NO.

They were very disappointed and hostile when I refused to sign any more package and gave me a very fake smile while asking me to wait for them to wash off the herbal or conditioner. The towel had dropped off from my head and nobody bother to come and unwrap it for me. I was sitting there for more than 15mins, then the consultant came over and wash my hair. She was very rough throughout the whole washing process, pushed my head left and right and my shirt was half wet!! The hair blowing was sucks, can feel she's "taking revenge" or "venting her anger", very unprofessional!!

She told me the treatment only took 1hr, end up I left their salon at 8:15pm (I reached there by 6pm)

Very angry l0r, I paid for my hair and yet I got this kind of treatment.

    *Sorry for the long post*

Any cotter visit them before, can share your opinion here?

If I'm not wrong, Yunnam & NY Skin Solutions are under the same group.
Service & Attitutes suck to the CORE!

This was many years ago when my Dad was still working airport transport.
There's this guy who appeared in Yunnam tv ads - balding and got a rich crown of hair after treatment.

My dad saw him at one hotel and saw him bald. So, he was actually wearing a wig in the commercial. Not sure about their treatments now, but still I always tell my friends to avoid Yunnam, NYSS, London Weight Management - all under same group.

Sorry to hear about your experience.
Please, no matter how they psycho you, DO NOT SIGN ANY MORE PACKAGES!!

If their own employee say such a thing, you should know better than not to go.

Sorry that you've spent loads on the package though...

BatonGal: My friend told me that once after I paid for the treatment

Anyway, I must admit my scalp problem are not as bad as how it used to be, after the treatment. Their shampoo is nice also (but smells sucks, ginseng + herbs) which makes my hair very smooth, unlike other anti dandruff shampoos.

Hmm let's see how ba, sigh..

I have no idea what to do about dandruffs since I don't have to deal with it.

My dad does, and I always buy those shampoos targeted at dandruffs.
What brand of shampoo are you using, beside YN brand?

Most of the time, the products are fine, it's the service & attitudes that are the problem.

BatonGal: True. They are very pushy, and I went for my 3rd treatment yesterday. They stop approaching me, didn't even bother to talk to me, like I owe them 10millions like that. At least I have spent $1k+ there ***, damn -.-

I tried almost all the anti dandruff shampoo, but condition getting worse after Rene Furterer..

The staff recognize you, or they just simply no longer care? O.o

If their service suck, make a point to say "I don't like your attitude, I'm a paying customer you know!"

I always do that, not because I'm arrogant or anything. I'm paying for your product/service, at least show some respect.

My ex-boss once said to me "The customers are the one paying the salary, the boss just handles the money, that's all." lol

BatonGal: Yeah they recognized me, 'cos I am "assigned" to a consultant, means whenever I go, they will earn 2 or more points, and I guess their commission is calculating based on this "point system". I heard my consultant talked to a junior that "help me rinse off the herbal, then later you mark 1 point in your record".

Aiya, when we are customers, bosses and servants are correct; and vice versa.

Got money = got SUPERB customer money.
Or rather, if you wear like a taitai, carry LV with lotsa bling bling, then you will get nice customer service.

I also feel the same way.

For me, I never dare to walk into an LV store. Went in once when my friend drag me in there,
No one bother to serve us!

Normally I walk into such high-end boutique only when I am ready to buy.
But, if their service suck, I walk straight out of the door.

Being in the service line, they should know how to treat their customers.
I don't treat mine like crap, I don't expect to be treated like one too.

Sometimes, those who are real rich are those who don't bother to waste their money on superficial things. Hence I think to judge a person by looks is very stupid and shallow.

    Haha..
