so many bad reviews about Yun nam..yes i went for a job interview once and thats when i realised all 3 are the sister/brother company.
Side track here..What about Beijing 101? anyone heard anything about it? They dont have much adverts right?
PULL OUT WHITE HAIR?!?!
My therapist at Beijing101 tell me that this will kill the follicles. I dun want to get rid of white hair only to experience hair loss right? Damn scam ***... Anyway i dun have white hair so cannot comment but beijing helped me with my hair loss and with chinese doctors, are certainly more reliable than other centres out there...
I really appreciate the efforts everyone has put in posting the comments above.
I consider myself a wise consumer. I always do researches in prior to purchasing a product or a service.
After knowing that they will try to psycho you, I am very determined that I want to find out the truth.
Lately there has been a YN promotion in my area (Heartland Mall, Kovan), costs S$8 for 1 treatment + 1 package of shampoo, conditioner, hair tonic. Sounds a bit cheap? Yes, it is.
I am 17 yrs old. Yesterday I went in the center and they told me that I'm not old enough, so I need a adult to accompany me, age 18+. I went home and talked my friend (1into going with me.
Today, I went back, and they told me first that she needs to be present for the next appointment. I was taken aback as I was not prepared for this. I thought my friend only needs to sign some paper and leave. My friend is very busy and rite at that moment she gave me faces. I know that no matter what, she won't come wth me again. So I told them that she would'nt be available the next time. The girls then checked with one another and after 5 mins, 1 brought me into this consultation room. She explained to me that since I am underage and I have no relatives around, I will have to sign a contract that I will be purchasing a package of 10 further treatments costing 300+. WTF! What's the connection???
Then I told her that I will agree to that only if she agrees to give me the treatment prior to the contract, so that I can see the result before purchasing anything.
That is not very appealing to them. So, the girl went out and another went in to deal with me. I guess the previous one is new to the business, she is only a chicken and she needs an elephant to help her out.
The new girl was aggressive, so I changed my tactics from being gentle businesswoman-like to bitchy businesswoman-like. She first told me that her colleague was not up-to-date, and that I need an adult older than 21 to accompany me, and then everything will be free. I said I have one. It seems that she knows my weakness cuz yesterday I told the newbie that I live in Singapore alone, my parents are all in Australia. She told me that the person needs to be a relative. Never mind, I told them I don't have one, and asked them whether a legal guardian would be alrite (actually I don't have one). She said fine. And then she stopped for moment as if searching for something intelligent to say, and she came up with this shit:" oh, actually, you know what, let me check with my colleagues first".
Then they sent in another girl. Woman actually, from the look on her face I can tell that she is pretty nasty. She said: "I am really sorry for their unproffessionalism. The 300 cost would actually be the registration money, not for the package, so anyway either with or without the consent from an adult, you still have to pay the 300+ cost." I am well prepared for this. I told her, "what if I was an adult and walked in here for the S$8 promotion itself, I still have to pay the registration cost?" That shuts her mouth. I continued to attack her: "you know what? How about calling your boss here and we'll make everything clear?" She said she cannot give the boss' number to anyone due to confidential reasons. I looked up and pretend to remember something: "Oh, actually I remember that I have your company's number with me from your company's website, not your boss' though. May be I will call and explain the confusion that you all have caused me and provide him with your names so that he can equip you with all the correct infomations?". I reached inside my purse (I really did not have any number). She was really scared and she said: "Actually I can exchange my points for your treatment." (WHAT IS SHE TALKING ABT?) "I can do the treatment for you now if I use my hard-earned points."
Oh gosh? Are they really that unprepared? My simple old trick is working really well. However, I think that they will treat my scalp like shit after all the *** I have done to them. Anw I was just interested in the shampoo due to the good reviews I've read. So I went "Can I just purchased the shampoo? I don't want the treatment anymore until I clarify everything so as to ensure I do not commit any legal complication."
She said OK. I guess she must be really intimidated by me. So I went and bought the shampoo for S$5. As I walked out, they managed a wry smile and I gave them my last dose: "I really don't like your altitudes. I may write some of you in"
That's it. SO the conlusion that all the reviews that they they will psycho and suck you dry is real. NEVER EVER go to Yun Nam please!!!
yep, before my friend went to seek treatment for her on-the-way-to-botak crown, she went through all the hair loss forums and was put off by all the flak thrown on Yun Nam. Am i right to say that many of their staff are mainland chinese? Not discriminating or what, but some of them just have this attitude issue. Anyway, now it's down to Svenson ,Glower bcause the reviews about these 2 have been good so far. The only thing is the costs. The most drastic option will be hair transplant but she is afraid that it will be very painful.
Jialak..to many of us, hair is our best cosmetic. Better to watch your diet properly and look out for warning signs before the lobang starts appearing.
i went for the foc treatment last week at century square..
firstly, there is a pre-consultant session which they will go thru some questions with you about your lifestyle. it is quite fast..less than 5 mins. the consultant will then use a hair analyser tool to analyse your hair..telling you the problems blar blar..which depends how responsive you are. I appeared bored, so my session took around 10-15 mins explaination only.
the actual treatment took 1 hour, inclusive of cleansing the scalp with shampoo, putting herbal treatment on my hair and steam for 20 mins, and lastly wash off and apply hair tonic.
the overall process was not bad thou..quite relaxing..was reading magazine , drinking tea and eating cookies which they provided.
after the treatment, the consultant will bring you to a room and showed you the pre and post difference in your hair scalp. then she will persuade you to sign course etc. I just told her that im not prepared to pay so much for the course, and if i have scalp problem i will go to doctor instead of yum nam. lastly i told her im here just because the treatment is foc..then she tried to presuade me..but i just sms on my mobile and ignore her..
then she said ok..pass me her name card and ask me to refer friends. last but not least, my foc treatments comes with a free full size shampoo. she passed to me and said "bye..thanks for coming".
haha..
I have only tried Svenson so far partly because of the bad comments on other brands. My consultant is very good, always giving me hair care tips and some samples when she has extra to spare. haha, hope i don't get her into trouble because of this. But seriously, i like her because she doesn't pushme to buy and buy. She once told me that if i'm convinced, i will naturally continue. no need to push ***.
Sounds like you got yourself a good consultant from Svenson.
Most people have experienced pushy ones, as far as i can see.
Celinity : " then she tried to presuade me..but i just sms on my mobile and ignore her .." haha, good tactic!

don't bother wasting your money .. u buy a package from there.. they may say yea u will see results but during the treatment they will psycho u to buy their serum / essence and top up session.. if u don't top up u cannot maintain the black hair or ***.. in the fact.. till the last session of the package they were still pulling white hair from your head. maybe a temp improvement but once treatment stops, the white hairs come back
sigh. my experience with them is horrible. i bought the $12.90 groupon deal for yun nam hair treatment. when i was there, the salesgirls kept sweet talk & persuading me to sign up for the packages. at first the sales girl kept persuading me to sign up for the $3.2k package..then i said i need time to consider. then she said next time if i come back, there won't be $3.2k package ****. i just said i need more time then the salesgirl said, "ok ***. since u r so interested, this price only for u, i give u student price $2.6k!" so i signed up for the package by paying monthly installment. then on my 3rd treatment, the salesgirl said my pores are bigger then need to sign another package to close the pores. that package costs $3.2k but she reduced it to $2.3k. she said she has the voucher so gave me special price & asked me not to tell other customers. i told her i will come back later & i need to consider about it. she said, "what's there to think about it?" sigh. i hope other people won't be conned into signing their packages. for me, this was a big valuable lesson learnt! i just want to share. thank you.
now everytime i go for the appointment, they kept asking me to buy this and that. recently they asked me to purchase these herb meds from them (which cost $1k++)..this salesgirl insisted that i must take the meds while i do the treatment & if i don't, the treatment won't work. i kept saying no but she won't let me go easily..at first she said will free me 2 bottles..after that she said free me 24 bottles!!! arghhhh... please be aware of this! once u signup for a package, they will ask you to sign more!!!
Hi,
Just to share my bad experience with Yunam Hair Care recently. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY TRIAL VOUCHER WITH THEM!
I bought the $10 hair trial at their roadshow and went for the trial. During appointment, they told me I need to put aside 1.5hours for the trial session. I told them ok.
When i reached there at 4.00pm, i told them latest by 5.45pm, i have to leave as i need to fetch my kids to school. They said ok no problem.
Before the trial session, they will bring you to a room, closed door and scan your hair and told you what your hair problem is. After that they will purchase you to take up the package. They will tell you that the free trial session is normal hair wash only can't cleanse my hair, I need to buy their package so that i can see the result. Then i insist no, i will do the trial, normal hair wash i dun mind. Then she said, if you really want to wash your hair then you come to the wrong place, go to hair salon will do. Then she started to push me to buy the package again and emphaise that the trial session won't produce any result, must top up to see result. Then i told her off that in that case i can complain to CASE that you have mislead us into purchasing the voucher since it is stated in the voucher that customised hair session. Then she twisted her words again and said oh this session is only 80% see results but you need to purchase the package to see 100% results.
Faint..... i was in the room from 4.00pm till 5.18pm (1.5 hours) and i told her i don't want to do the hair session anymore, give me the hair shampoo mini set will do. And she still carry on pushing pushing the package. I told her I have no time! I need to fetch my kids and finally at 5.30pm they did my hair. And guess what? It finished at 6.00pm and after that they brought me to their room againi and this time with the supervisor. Think they are trying to persuade me to buy the package again. I told them off that I suppose to leave at 5.40pm and now is 6.15pm and I am late alreadly and yet you still want to delay me and i walked off.
They are really inconsiderate! To them earning commission is more important than customer service! Knowing that customer is late and they just don't care! Where got people sell the package first before trying one.
I went to triocare before with the trial package also. They do the scalp treatment first followed by selling the package. I told them I don't want and they are not pushing.
I learnt my lesson and from now onwards i will not buy any trial session anymore.
