Default Japanese Perm or Digital Perm?

I permed my hair 6 months ago and now its so difficult to style.. i think i look so untidy and messy right now as the curls are going away now..

Is it recommended for me to do japanese perm or digital perm now?

I wanted japanese perm as i do not like the 1st few days when i did my digital perm as it was really tight curls..

but it wont last rite? for japanese perm.. sigh

really difficult decision!

Hi,

Maybe can post some photos of your hair so that we can advice further.
When I first pemed my hair, it looked very messy too. I did digital perm but end up my curl is so loose.
Now, I can style it better..

hmm..i did both perms (digital & jap) and also ceramic..but at diff salon, so my ans may not be 'fair'. I prefer digital & ceramic at 1 salon, and jap at another. I prefer my digital & ceramic - the curls are bouncier, softer.

Hi Pebs,
Can you show me the pics of your ceramic perm? Is there any diff (as in the effect) between ceramic & digital perm?

both jap and digital can give u loose curls - just use bigger rollers. i think the difference is the chemical used. digital & ceramic uses heat that blows from inside out or something lar...these days most salons use digital perm rather than ceramic coz its the 'latest' technology.

I have tried jap perm and digital perm. i prefer Digital perm as its not dry and the curls are much nicer than jap perm.
Jap Perm leave my hair very dry and the curls not so fantastic.

i always thought that japanese perm is more mild to the hair since its not long lasting..

but i found a product that saved my hair.. i bought lucidol wave milk and it works! at least my hair look more manageable now and not that messy and frizzy and dry-looking.

and now its like i still not sure if i should go re-perm my hair or not.. such difficult decision!
