Anyone tried there before? Is it good for make up or for hair cuts??
Vive have a great make up artist that does lots of make up for TCS artist and rich women.
Vive have a great hairstylist for guy (forgot this name, look very slim)
Hey Gals,
Thinking of trying Agnes Ng from Vive salon but heard its rather pricey. Any reviews for her or the salon?
any reviews?? or recommendations? help urgently needed as i'm considering to have either my hair or makeup done.
thanks in adv (:
Used to go to Cecilia Chng for my eyebrows (a few years ago when they were still at Scotts Shopping Centre) but find that she did not really do a good job on them. Not symmetrical. One brow was more arched than the other. She also was not meticulous. Can still see some stray hairs after plucking. I think you can try Agnes Ng. She is Cecilia's niece. I have seen her works in the magazines. Quite good. HTHs.
thanks taitai (: I've heard quite alot about agnes ng too. she's doing more of fresh looks which is what i'm looking for
how about hairstyling? i'm deciding between VIVE, Le Salon or KR+
Agnes from vive cost $95. It is very ex for a haircut.
thanks gold (:
actually i'm inquiring more on their hairstyling prices as my D&D is coming up. planning to have my hair done for the night.
i'll be gg there later today. booked an appointment with Allen.
I HAVE BEEN TO VIVE BEFORE. THEY'RE PRICES ARE QUITE ACCEPTABLE COMPARED TO OTHER SALONS THAT I HAVE SEEN. THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT TO DO HAIR OR MAKE-UP SHOULD GIVE IT A TRY AT VIVE![]()
Bumping this thread.
Has anyone been to Vive recently? I'd like to try out their makeup and hair styling services for dinner events. Anyone to recommend?
Hi,
you may try Agnes Ng, she's renowned for doing make up for mediacorp artistes.
After hearing many raves about MUA from Vivie Salon,i decided to give it a try...booked a trial makeup for my upcoming wedding in Sep...it was Cecilia who did the trial for me..
Overall,i don't like her attitude n service..the moment she came to me,*** pointed at the chair n asked me to take a seat...then start cleaning my face, put on moisturiser straight away to foundation...i know for a full trial makeup, they will apply corrector n primer before foundation...she didnt even ask me what kind of look i want, what i'm looking for...i feel that she *** do what she wants..
Seeing that,i started to talk to her...asking that i wan a makeup that enhances my eyes...she said,of cozlah...thats what bridal makeup is all about..
After that, she asked if i have someone doing my hair,i said yes...n she asked who is your stylist, from which salon n her name...i mean, does it concern u?i *** need your makeup service...then she recommended me one of the stylist from the salon...i *** kept quiet...
The way she does my makeup to me was like a touch n go job...n she's quite rough...all in all she finished my makeup in 35mins...pretty fast i think...
Next, come the price...as i only need her to do my makeup in the evening n it's only once, she quoted me S$400...i was shocked, but kept my cool...by then only she asked when is my wedding......a bit too late, rite?
I'm not a kind of person who likes to complain, but given their popularity I feel that they should be professional...more so a better service...a good MUA should not only have good skills, but good character, service n also listen to their customer's needs..
Well,*** my 2 cents worth of thoughts...n to share with fellow cotters...sorry for the long post
Listening to customer needs is very important as we are the one paying for it. I have passed by their salon before when i was having my lunch at crystal jade palace. Nice decor and the services look expensive. Have not tried their haircut yet as i don't know of any stylist there which i know.
